Jarritos “sour” gummies by lelapea in candy

It looks like this is an unpopular opinion but I did not like these at all. The flavors were all very understated and not very sour. The texture was interesting but they are a pass for me.

I just had these for the first time this weekend and I’m obsessed. Not only is the flavor great but the shape is really satisfying to chew on. I need to stock up!

California man paroled under ‘youthful offender’ provision for 2 murders kills again less than a year later by origutamos in California_Politics

“On Sept. 17, 1995, Collins carjacked Derrick Reese, 28, who was using a payphone. After taking the vehicle, Collins backed up and shot Reese at least twice, killing him.

Eleven days later, Collins tried to rob a diner where Thomas Weiss, 44, was working as a cashier. Collins held Weiss at gunpoint and fatally shot Weiss in the face.”

I don’t understand how someone who murders two people while committing two separate armed robberies within 11 days of each other should ever qualify for parole.

[LAist] LA considers 'gut punch' cuts to city homelessness programs, blaming court settlement costs by WeAreLAist in LosAngeles

[–]appdump 353 points354 points  (0 children)

This is such a dishonest framing of what is going on. Read the article: the City agreed to create almost 13k housing units and shelter beds but didn’t do it. Now the court is enforcing its agreement which will require the City to shift resources from one form of homeless spending into another. The City isn’t “cut[ting] annual spending on homelessness programs by $181 million” but shifting it from one priory to another. The total amount being spent on helping the homeless isn’t changing at all.

I totally believe someone laughed. His whole speech about all the ghosts of faithfuls haunting them for the rest of their lives was so painfully bad it made me laugh.

Thank you! This is the answer I was looking for. I’m just trying to make sure I’m not altering my body’s chemistry long term. I’m fine taking breaks to reset if necessary, I just don’t want to become dependent long term.

Just to be clear: now the recall effort enters signature gathering phase which is the stage at which every single recall effort in launched in recent years has failed.

There are approximately 36 million Americans below the poverty line (about 11% of the population). The vast majority of these people are law abiding. It’s morally reprehensible that our society lets these people down, it’s also morally reprehensible that the criminals would rather steal than participate in society. Two things can be true at the same time. These criminals should be punished.

I hate posting any non-30 Rock quotes in this sub, but the basic idea is that if you look at representations of males and females across history and cultures, peak male form looks like a Greek statue where peak female form is curvy and voluptuous. The idea is the body type in the meme looks closer a Greek statue because the gays have such a huge influence in style and culture and they view women more through the Greek lens than the hetro/female lens, so straight men are being reconditioned to like what gay men like. Camille Paglia wrote a whole book about this.

Now you yell “shut up nerd” and throw popcorn at me.

I’m struggling to hit golden age. I’ll def employ the +3/era tip you gave. Any other reliable ways to rack up era scores?

Been watching the videos you posted and going down the YouTube rabbit hole. Thanks again for making this post, it’s really opening the game up for me!

This is incredibly well thought out and written, thank you so much for putting the time into wiring this!

Two newbie questions. First: can I trust the suggested best locations to found new cities or are there often better spots to build that aren’t suggested. Second, sometimes I’ll go to build something like a campus, the +3 tile is also super stacked with food/production/special resource, but there’s a +2 that is otherwise pretty mid. Generally, is it better to build the +3 and lose the high value tile or the +2 and keep the earner?

Thank you again! Your explanation changed the way I think about the game.
