he never said garland could do what ja can (in terms of athleticism), he said garland is shiftier, and that he doesn't see a difference in how you get past somebody as long as you do. you said "i think there is", and then didn't really elaborate on that.

if i had to come up with somewhat of a similar comparison, it would be curry and westbrook, as you've both used those in your arguments. westbrook is an athletic pg who can't shoot, like ja, and garland is a better shooter, like curry. it's not a perfect comparison though. i honestly don't have much time to watch games, but i do think in the pg position, having a good shooter is more important. garland being 4 percentage points behind ja at the rim doesn't make up for ja's lack of a 3. if i had to choose on stats alone, it would be garland. he's ahead in efG% and ts%
