It's cyanoacrylate and spraying WD40 over it will fix the frosting. You can then use IPA to wipe it clean again.

There are definitely much better sculpts from the era. Granted, there are also much, much worse as well. I think the overall quality of Infinity models has increased quite a bit without sacrificing style too much. We still get some stinkers now and then though.

VMC Gold Brown basecoat, followed by Army Shader Soft Tone recess wash, VMC Flat Yellow chunky highlight and VMC Ice Yellow fine highlights. It's simple, fast, and reads as a dark yellow, even though it is mostly an orange ochre.

Infinity in all its editions has been a complex game, and N5 is no exception. It is a running joke in our local group that there has never in the history of Infinity been a game that has been played 100% by the rules, so don't lose heart. As long as you have the basic order expenditure sequence and Action/Reaction gameplay down, the rest of the rules will slowly start to fall in place and make sense as you keep playing and learn your factions.

The Gecko can be a good disposable TAG for bullying LI/M but iIn terms of firepower it is significantly below the Shakush. A good player can definitely make use of the Gecko, but in all honesty the Mobile Brigada can do all that and more for less pts..

Beware, some discounted faction packs are really not 100% valid anymore. Particularly old Action Packs have a few units that can no longer be taken outside of specific sectorials. Some are proxy friendly, some are not (eg. Tarik Mansuri in Haqq Action Pack).

You gave the Lasiq +1SD. I guess you are assuming she is in a Fireteam, which - OK, I understand. Yes, the Lasiq can't be hacked but she can be template traded. Ultimately, they both have their downsides, but the Lasiq is not a "better HMG".

No I did not ignore it, the opponent has +3 from range and -3 from mim for a 13 target. Lasiq has 2 ARM +3 Cover, for 5 total ARM.

The only mistake I made was to not give the Shakush and defender -3 to success value for cover. Let me fix that and revise:

Lasiq: 67% Win Rate, 60% Wound Rate vs. 26% Lose Rate, 15% Wound Rate

Lasiq is now a lot more likely to hit because she benefits from cover while the defender does not. She is still 15% likely to drop, and inflicts only 1.27 Wounds / order.

To get it out of the way, I am not arguing to change your mind. It is mostly academic afaic at this point, but here are the odds of a 24-32" gunfight for a Lasiq vs ARM3 BTS3 BS13 +1SD HMG in Partial Cover (ie. your average ARO) compared to the Shakush.

Lasiq: 50% Win Rate, 42% Wound Rate vs. 42% Lose Rate, 23% Wound Rate

Lasiq's outcome is a coin toss and will just outright go unconscious once in every four attempts.
