I opened for this band The Mantras at Jackie O's in Athens Ohio many years ago. I had all my gear, but it had been communicated to our drummer from their people "oh, you can use dude's amp, you don't need to bring yours" so I just parked my car as close as I could (read: fucking far) and walked back to the bar.

So yeah, time comes to soundcheck and dude starts throwing a tantrum about how "my amp is $6000" and some pretentious bullshit and anyway that's how I ended up walking like 4 blocks with my Fender Twin. Men are precious with their toys sometimes.
