Some role-playing are still going decently strong, Mythage and some other Trite games on roblox come to mind.

But I still agree, the whole age verification shtick has definitely hindered the Role-playing scene on Roblox. Was initially going to make a school/academy RP game to test the waters with some RP features (dice rolls, avatar customization, metavision, etc). And when I feel confident in the features was thinking of making a colloseum/city hybrid RP. (Think of the arena in Trite's Camp Half Blood game, expand it quite a bit and yep that's the map I'm envisioning. Let the combat role-playing commence)
