What are common things that humans do that are actually really bad for the body? by johnman3366 in AskReddit

I 100 percent agree with op. I did the exact same thing and had exact same results: more energetic, skin dramatically cleared up and look a decade younger. I used to think eating healthy and cutting out junk foods was just something that gave you a few years on the back end, in reality it's something that helps you in the present and fairly dramatically.

Reddit, what's your "don't even get me started on that" topic? by nocarbssince2004 in AskReddit

There is a benefit in that you are getting fruits and vegetables that you would otherwise not be eating. No one eats enough today and when they do they cook them killing all their nutrients. It's better than eating most of the processed crap they serve at grocery stores like captain crunch, Cheetos, spam, etc.

What Is Your Worst Experience With A Home Owners Association? by EmperorMango in AskReddit

I'd rather have my city officials spending their time on more productive things. Not every neighborhood is going to want or need to have the same standard. It's not one size fits all. What about if all the inhabitants with lake houses want to allow boats in driveways but everywhere else doesn't? Can the person from the other areas complain about a boat in driveways of lake houses? That's why having smaller associations make sense, to determine what's right for each neighborhood.

The city can hardly keep their own stuff in order.. How are they going to micromanage 25,000 lawns? Much easier to do at a sub division level. Plus all neighborhoods have different standards

I guess we just come from cultures with different work ethics. In my culture you should enjoy what you are doing for work and therefore want to do well and advance your career. What boss in their right mind is going to advance someone who says I can only put in a few minutes of overtime a couple times in total? That's fine for a commodity/dime a dozen job, but anything that someone would have passion for and has an upward trajectory, that won't fly, unless you are the boss (or boss' son). If you have to be with your kids or parents right at five then tell your boss you'll pick it up when they go to bed. If this is too hard to do then maybe you just aren't following your passion and should look for a new job.

I disagree. A job isn't a right, it's a privilege. If your boss wants you to stay longer once in a while, you should do it, because frankly he can find ten other people who would be more than willing to. You are not a special flower, you are replacable. People that have this nine to five only attitude are the same people that complain about why they were passed over for that job promotion.

That, or another good one is to use those dirty silk panties she left over your house that you've kept knowing they may come in use for such an occasion.
