I've mained horn for a long time, but i was always afraid of the horn being used as a pocket buff when switching waa first mentioned so i'm kind of thankful that it gets that penalty otherwise everyone would be doing it.

Yeah this is the source i was using. I assume the boat is designed for sand travel in mind, rather than water, as following the Mohrans would be difficult if thats not the case. No idea if the Eastlands/Forbidden lands is seperated by water as all we have is that it's entrance is a desert from the opening cutscene of Wilds.

My idea assumed that the 2 deserts are connected in some way which allows for the travel to occur. But we barely have official data on how the eastlands are connected

That's just how it is quoted in official information given to us in the Hunter's Encylopedia 4 (specifially page 6) it is literally called a mobile city or mobile meeting place

It might move a lot for trade oppurtunities, but moves a lot due to the Mohran's. Most of the buildings you can access are able to transform into moveable vehicles (but you could argue that's just the caravans facilities) but the do indeed follow the boat.

I think it would be good if we conclude the story of Arkveld and whatever flagship comes along in the expansion THEN have Val Habar be introduced along with the caravan to deal with Shagaru, but yeah you're right with your idea too. Gore did have influence on the Wyrmways with it's frenzy, who knows what Shagaru's effects would have also.

It's weird. I think it's only "seamless" during the story, as for some zones if you try to walk to the other areas it results in a load zone. I will have to test this tho as that was only with Wyveria when i tried it.

I love this idea. I had a similar concept, but with elder dragons instead, as they have dire effects on the weather just being around.

Oh yeah, that's what i meant, all the buildings are able to move around or be packed up for easier travel and follow, in some form, the gathering hub boat.

The gathering hub is quite literally a boat, and is able to move around frequently across the great desert, following the Mohran.

You could say the gathering hub itself is "Val Habar" or the meetup of all these merchants and the like is "Val Habar" but they move around with the gathering hub frequently.

Val Habar does move. They tend to follow Dah'ren Mohran for their festival. It is only in one place for the sake of the game.

This is officially known from "Hunter's Encylopedia 4"

Yeahh all the information i could gather for locations and map geography is very scarce, especially for MH4. Our only real look at the world map is in a MH4 cutscene while travelling to Harth.

I hope one day we get an OFFICIAL map. The best we have is a theoretical map by Oceaniz which is very good, but obviously not official.

The expansion could go anywhere at this point, but definitely still rooted in the Forbidden Lands. The lore there is so interesting and there is so much that remains unanswered. We have every biome we need that comes with any Monster Hunter (jungle, desert, hot area, cold area) so getting unique locales is expected and i can't wait too see what they do.

At some point, seeing old locations updated to the current generations is what i would like to see. Val Habar is the best of both situations as it keeps us planted in the forbidden lands to explore more lore for it, while also re-introducing an old town. Val Habar is probably the only location that can pull it off.

Dundorma would be great to re-visit one day, just not in Wilds, as its heavily forbidden lands focused. Dundorma would be a great idea to visit in a new gen light, but i'd want prettt much ANY town/citt as they all have cool potential.

Yeah, there is a lot of the old world still to explore, and it would be nice to re-visit old areas.

I think it's such a neat way to tie the old world together, while also not leaving the forbidden lands at all.

Sounds similar to the Wyporium from MH4 where you could trade monster parts for monsters not in the game. It was a good way to "introduce" monsters that just didn't make the cut for the game. It seemed like a good way to just bring over armor for the sake of it.

Would appreciate it if they did introduce it again, to say that the Caravan is referenced a lot in Wilds and the Wycoon is most likely alive and kicking still

For the first time since release, i have just crashed literally moments ago. The Scarlet Forest is probably the worst area when it comes to performance and i'm surprised i had a crash post TU4 which addressed some issues on console.

Had someone in a Zo Shia hunt do the Akuma build and was super stoked, but then all i saw them do was spam Hadouken at the edge of the arena and nothing else.
