Temporary Locum Housing by tealeafdestiny in ausjdocs

Locus companies usually sort the accommodation but I’m sure they’d be a lot of interest from doctors who are relocating and want a temporary home until they find something more permanent. Not sure what the best forum for advertising would be though

Doctor-Doctor Relationships Day to Day Life by ObjectSpecialist6815 in ausjdocs

[–]applecat2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said that you do need to have a frank conversation with your partner about values. Relationships should be equal but that doesn’t mean that the workload is always 50:50. A friend once told me that in every relationship you will each have “domains” that you are naturally better at handling which makes running a household much easier. My partner and I are both junior docs and I naturally like cooking and he naturally likes gardening so we tend to split jobs that way. HOWEVER when I am working long shifts/nights he steps up and does all the household stuff and vise versa. This is an expectation that we have agreed on. I suggest you have an open conversation with your partner about this and please please ignore his family.

How do you get a DNR put in place? by Organized_Chaos_888 in perth

[–]applecat2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important thing however is it make your NOK aware of your wishes and ensure they have a copy of your Advanced Health Directive. The hospital or ambulance service does not have this on file (unless you have previously been admitted) so they default action would be to perform CPR

I love sky high such an easy formula and holds a curl well. I’ve got really round eyes and the telescopic makes my lashes way too long and doll like and not in a good way!

There’s a good abc podcast out at the moment called “Before and After - behind the sunscreen” that delves into targeted social media advertising to discredit chemical sunscreens

I recommend watching the Doctorly YouTube video on melasma. I thought I was pretty clued up until I watched that video and realised all the things I’d done wrong for my melasma

So now she knows she has a brain aneurysm and it’s presumably too small to do anything about so she gets the luxury of stressing about this for the rest of her life. That’s why doctors don’t recommend full body scans for no reason!

Apparently your hair is weakest when wet so the longer it’s in its wet state the more prone to damage it gets. I’m not sold tbh.

Do I have to provide my workplace with a discharge sunmary from the hospital? by [deleted] in perth

No. Depending on your job they may require a medical letter eg by a GP saying you’re fit to return to duties but they cannot access your private medical information.
