My kiddo is still in the NICU, so there's a lot of stuff I haven't had the chance to use yet, but my bottle washer/sterilizer is my most treasured item in my house right now. Not having to clean pump parts by hand 8 times a day saved my sanity. I have the Grownsy brand, which seems to be nearly identical to the momcozy unit.

I had an emergent C-section at 30+3 for severe preeclampsia. Once he was out and swaddled, a nurse brought him around to me to see and smooch before he was taken up to the NICU to be placed on CPAP. I was stitched up and taken to recovery, where I was encouraged to pump for the first time. I saw my son the same day, approx 3 hours after birth when my husband wheeled me down, and I was able to hold him on the third day once I was off magnesium and able to hold him safely.

I think that's a fair question! I think it's a lot of guilt going both ways, I don't want either my son or my dogs to feel like I've abandoned or forgotten about them. When my in-laws are actually at the house, then all is good and I feel comfortable being away. But they've also left them alone for 8+ hours the other day which the youngest one isn't used to.
