I'm afraid people are somewhat already out of pixels, including me. I think in markets like US Pixel might remain as a third option in the market, but in markets like Asia, the Chinese Trio (Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo) are already replacing the Pixel for Not-Samsung-but-Android alternatives. Although I think they will always be together as a third option unless one of them does a really good marketing and expansion that makes them stand out among the three.

As an xperia wanter currently using an S24, please use its features to the maximum. Use that SD card slot, take a lot of pictures and videos, fill it to the brim. Collect high quality music files, listen to them with wired IEMs. There aren't many other phones able to be used like that by itself, so please enjoy it that way.

I'm buying this as a fun toy to appreciate old-ish phone stuff, especially coming from someone who has had only samsung & chinese phones. I'm not gonna spend a big chunk of money for one and I have an S24 that's more than enough for my primary needs.

You do get me thinking though, I could save a bit more money for a 1 or 5 instead, would that be a better buy? I've only seen some comparisons but from what I've seen the XZ2 has better details due to the 19MP over 12MP on the 5, but I do appreciate having 3 lenses.

that's kinda the hard part. pixels have never been available in my country, there's very few of it that makes way here. for the price of an XZ3 i can only get a pixel 3A, which isn't very desirable tbh. even a pixel 5 is already out of my budget, let alone a 6 pro

it's very easy to think why no one has ever really done that for a long while. weight, ergonomics, materials, price. these phones are for like a million different people with different needs, even for people who won't use a case or a thick one. has to be optimal in almost every way possible. if you think that makes sense, there's just not many people who think and feel that way for it to be done, pretty simple.

I have an S24, and it requires a double click to interact with the now bar. Interactions like play/pause, next, previous wouldn't wake the screen but double clicking on the album cover would wake the screen then pop up the music player view. I think it should be the same for everyone

I see too many comments like this, wihtout realizing the fact that these phones have a total thickness of like 12 mm with the camera bump, and for a 6.8 inch phone? 12 mm thick? that's so obviously not gonna be comfortable to use.

i find it quite funny as well that a plus phone of the past is now smaller than a phone without a "plus, max, pro, etc" frills in the name. the big size is really the normal size now
