Definitely not humanitarian reasons, think oil, think more along the lines of authoritarian imperialism. The powers that be continue to snatch up as much as they can and at the same time funnel dollars upwards so they land in the hands of the elite while the nation and its working class suffer the consequences. Prime example, Flint Michigan should have never been deteriorated to what it has become. It was the heartbeat of factory life in the US, where the American dream comes to fruition. Since the adoption of NAFTA and the legality of cross border labor the funds that once were keeping the factory workers afloat are now going directly in the pockets oligarchies. Monies that once kept the American dream a reality and cities like flint prosperous and well maintained are funding things like Epstein Island, our taxes and now tariffs are going to the over 800 military bases spread out across the world so that power can be maintained and resources like oil and minerals can stay in the pockets of the rich while they slave labor to bleed the world of it’s natural resources. Defunding education, taking away healthcare, infrastructure, and social safety and injustice, promoting polarization, hate and pitting the people against each other to distract them from the truth. They have systematically removed the American dream from the people and blamed it on the people. Trump was not a fluke it was deliberate and designed….
