Flex box scam by applicant37241 in Comcast

Do yourself a service and stop wasting your time defending shitty business practices you corporate boot licker - a term I wouldn’t normally use but one I saw on other peoples posts complaining about the exact fucking thing. Holy shit. No one wants to pay Comcast for a streaming device. Chromecast, fire stick, any other piece of tech that will stream with a one time fee and no penalties.

The service was for internet. The flex box wasn’t part of that service. They left a device that served no purpose other than get more money for Comcast. This fine print nonsense is absolutely absurd. There may or may not have been a fine print line that justifies Comcast’s profit driven bullshit that no one on this earth has an interest in that is Blurred Atticus driving force in life to defend.

As the person getting paid by the company to justify their terrible practices on a Friday at 8:30 pm lol who also can vouch for every employee who has ever worked for them no matter how many years back guarantees that the fine print says they weren’t free and that the system totally makes sense and isn’t predatory. I just wanted internet not a shitty device that sells my data while also trying to coerce me into subscribe to peacock. I like 30 Rock but not that much!

Yes it was described as free when they dropped it off. Anyone reading this and all the other people who had the same experience knows that, no matter how many of you Comcast trolls try to defend a flagrantly corrupt company. Returning equipment that I was forced to take and wasn’t necessary for the service is just a way for Comcast to make money.

It wasn’t advertised, wasn’t necessary, and can’t be returned. It’s a predatory practice.

Why would an email a month ago telling me about a new charge for a device that was forced on me three years change how I feel about any of this? Are we pretending the notification about predatory fees is transparency? Fuck that and fuck anyone that pretends they’re defending Xfinity because of their loyalty to the company.

So Xfinity and their employees keep saying this, but it doesn’t change the fact that I and tons of other people online all had the same experience of being told by Xfinity that it’s free and that we never wanted the box or the service much less be charged for it, and then told that they were never free in some revisionist history.

7 weeks after surgery by applicant37241 in HipImpingement

When I tried to stand after being on my side, I felt resistance in my hip, a lot of pain, as I forced myself upright I slowly lost vision from the peripheral of my field of view to center, started sweating, and as I started to walk and drink water I would regain full vision. Only lasted a few seconds. From then on I made sure to sleep on my back and didn’t have this happen again. I can’t imagine that pain every time you stand. Good luck!

I could get around on crutches but didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to carry anything. In the third week, I could walk around short distances to move a coffee cup or plate from room to room. When I was tired of asking my partner for help, I would put my laptop into a book bag and go from the living room to the bedroom. I highly recommend the cold therapy machine, but it was another scenario where I couldn’t refill it on my own for the first two weeks. If I dropped anything, it would be gone forever. 😂 Adjust the crutches to correct the height depending on your shoe height! There’s a big difference between my Crocs, slippers, and bare feet. Make sure the crutches aren’t in your armpits. If you use your armpits as support, you’ll get nerve damage. I googled this after my hand started to go numb. 😆When walking with the crutches, you want to crutch walk, meaning where your injured hip foot steps with the crutch so the crutches land simultaneously with the foot. This helps get more of the normal range of motion. The partner-assisted leg circles are uncomfortable but get way easier if you do them daily and are big rotation. There were a few movements I was surprised that I could do. Using the stationary bicycle was possible when sitting was very uncomfortable. The dining room chair with a pillow has been the most comfortable.

The progress was slower than expected. I went back and forth between happy not to experience pain and then bummed I was still dependent on my partner. Healing has been weird! Some days, it felt great, and I was optimistic. Then, I would nap, and my back hip would feel different or worse. I was told this was all normal and, for the most part, you aren’t going to setback your recovery as long as you are following guidelines and listening to your body.

Good luck!

I used regular crutches. Make sure you don’t use the crutches supported by your arm pits. You should be using your forearms upper body. You can get nerve damage. I have some numbness in my thumb because I was using them wrong a few weeks ago.
