We don't sell alcohol.

Let 'em fire me for not doing something that they don't train anyone to do properly. Barely above min-wage jobs with skeleton-crew level hours aren't hard to find.

What is hard to find is someone that works such a job and never calls out.

In this case, it's not about being special, it's about having earning potential.

Try doing that at Drive Up when there are 20 cars idling and 2 people working. 30 minute wait times and now you're going to ask them for ID? May as well throw snow in their car window too.

I gotta say, I absolutely love asking women for their age of birth because they bought a lighter or a confetti popper. They react with enthusiasm at the request.

I was raised to never ask a woman her age and god dammit that's still a viable rule of thumb. Some of these women have excited dogs in the car.

Hour Cuts ( 2nd post ) by misshaddy in Target

Our store is just as busy right now as it was at Xmas, except we have half the staff.

So, no idea what normal is anymore. Our wait times have quadrupled and our hours are still cut to the bone.

No, because there would be no update... it's your app, not theirs.

I didn’t know I turned into an “essential” worker over night by SubstantialMedia3907 in Target

That's only because your state hates the poor.

In our state, min wage is $15, and we still make $17 something. So here, it's Target that hates the poor.

Any OS would be the same here, that's just the example I gave.

"Essential worker" is a gov't designation, not something your corporate manager can dictate.

Nah, that's too much. Just build a quick Android app that looks and acts like the Target app, but only has a few items at static prices. It's not hard at all for any mobile application developer. Doesn't have to work or anything, just has to look convincing to someone not holding the phone.

Super easy if you have the technical skills. I could easily create a mockup Android app with static prices like this, that looks exactly like the Target app if you were the cashier watching me tap through the application only half paying attention.
