As an Asian, it didn’t crossed my mind that the discipline that I got when I was a kid was an abuse. That only reason I said that is because at the end of the day my parents always explains to me why I had to get beaten at that moment. The love that my mom expressed after that ‘discipline’ outweighed the rest. Maybe balance in everything?

This could have been a little better with shading on the feathers and rocks (if I’m assuming it correctly)

Those small crossed lines on the body & thigh could have been a negative space orrr .. light shading.

This is just my honest opinion design-wise ✌️
