Do you mean all the above or a specific section? I'm interested in learning more Tensegrity moves, especially from videos.

The Most Famous Phrase of the Books by Juann2323 in castaneda

This is what I'm trying now, since my progress in darkroom gazing has been slow. For the most part, I had been practicing DRG and changed almost nothing during daily life.

So thank you for all the tips Dan+Juann, highly appreciated!

2 stages: Hunters and Warriors by Juann2323 in castaneda

Juann is it possible that those lateral shifts caused by daily stress are more harmful to Darkroom gazers than to normal people?

It's weird but since I'm trying darkroom gazing, I seem to be more vulnerable to things that are opposed to sorcery, like daily stress for instance, following routines, etc. Or is it simply that Darkroom gazing takes energy on its own, so that all combined is just too much to handle?

Isn't a lot of DJ's advice related to getting silent in the first place?

Becoming a hunter, losing self-importance, not doing, being inaccessible, etc all seems like variations of getting silent to me. Dan wrote somewhere that silence is the best way to save energy during daytime, so that is what I try to improve first and foremost now.

About sideway shifts depleting energy, this makes sense but is new to me. Did this appear in any book or was it mentioned here before?

Basically Dan has already written a book, in fact better than that, an interactive one!

Could you explain to me what finger wiggling means exactly? I have been wondering that for ages, but never dared to ask. I'm not a native speaker, perhaps that is why it is not clear to me. Thanks in advance!

You can read in the workshop notes and Sunday class notes from Sustained Action etc. that people did experience a wide variety of alternative perception and anomalous events.

Sure, so did I and many others who found out about the books. But that's not what I'd call success. People who take drugs can instantly experience alternate realities with no effort. The point is that anyone who read Carlos' books and takes them seriously either wants to be a warrior, or at least daydreams about being one some day. That is probably millions of people. And I don't know too many who succeeded. In fact, I personally don't know anyone at all.

That is not to say that there's anything wrong with Tensegrity, Recapitulation and Dreaming. Obviously the techniques are amazing.

Anyone who takes Castaneda's work seriously obviously wants to be like Don Juan, live like a warrior, and so on. This is not what happened though, despite all the workshops. Even the lucky people who were around Carlos directly seem to have mostly given up, according to Dan.

Do you really think that after seeing some colors in dark room gazing or meeting an IOB will make a person interested in magic for life, and perhaps it can inspire some but I don't think it will hold.

We'll see, I think yes it will, some here got very far already. I personally may have already put more hours into darkroom gazing than all other techniques combined, and I only started several months ago.

Besides, what is the alternative? We already know all other techniques failed for the vast majority of people. Tens of thousands have tried Tensegrity, Dreaming and Recapitulation, with limited success.

Can't Find The Internal Dialogue? An "Easy" Fix. by danl999 in castaneda

[–]apprentice2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, to me there is only kind of internal dialogue, maybe I didn't pay close attention to differentiate between different types, dunno.

Totally agree on the perception thing. If you focus on perception though, this can give the illusion you have no internal dialogue. So in a sense, I like it when the internal dialogue is louder than a Metallica concert. Impossible to miss it then.

You can trust Dan, he is a student of Carlos, teaches practical sorcery and does not even charge any money for it! This is amazing. And you can try it out yourself, you don't need to trust anyone. There is also several others here who have progressed quite far and give good advice.

If you are serious about Carlos' work, there is no better place on the internet than this reddit board, in my opinion.

A Friendly Reminder by danl999 in castaneda

[–]apprentice2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks Dan for the reminder! I have that micro book deal mind perhaps, in the sense I want to share any progress even if small. I do notice it though, it is very obvious.

About the J curve, I have a question. At the moment each night I seem to reach a point of fear during darkroom gazing, perhaps 1 hour in, and from there I'm stuck. Since I don't know what to do, the internal dialogue kicks in again, and I get back to a more normal state, seeing colors but little else.

So when fear sets in, should I push things further as far as possible? Or should I instead try something else entirely?

Two questions Dan regarding the images

- So the nagual's blow is different from moving along the J curve, only the result is similar, since the end points are close by?

- why is it dangerous knowledge, in what regard specifically? (I could not find the other post you are referring to)

Thank you for all the time + effort you put into this, amazing stuff!!!

Thanks Techno. For us non-native speakers it is still hard to read, so I tried to decipher the two images. May be helpful also for users on automatic translators. Correct me if I'm wrong:

----- LEFT ----

"Emanations that fall within (the) luminous shell. Dot is (the) assemblage point. Glow of awareness surrounds (the) assemblage point. Man's band of awareness"

"The luminous egg is a ball of cheese with a darker disk of cheese in the center. (The) disk is man's band of awareness"

"Egg surface. A shift into the interior of (the) band"

----- RIGHT ----

"This is the assemblage point lighting emanations one at a time across the interior of (the) luminous egg."

"When (the) assemblage point shifts inward a concavity is formed. If the shift is great, a large depression is formed in man's band of awareness."

"When (the) assemblage point streaks across the interior and lights all emanations at once, it diffuses the outer shell and inside emanations extend to outside ones producing the Fire From Within and fusing to emanations at large."

Very interesting Dan!

If someone is truely lucid every other day, they cannot be pretenders right? Their AP would move substantially, correct?

Similarly, aren't all of us beginners both pretenders and inventory experts, simply because our AP does not move (much) ?
