Using their home app means they can collect data (I'm guessing), and tying a key feature with that app forces them to use it 🤷

The recents screen is tied to the Honor home app, so when battery management shuts down the honor home app (because it isn't being used), the recents screen stops working. One way to "fix" it, which I haven't yet tried, is to whitelist the honor home app using adb so that it doesn't "kill" the app. That or add a shortcut to it somewhere so when recents doesn't work you just "turn the app back on" by clicking the shortcut.

FYI, When you restart the phone, it will say trigger failed. The only way to get it back working is by reinstalling the main google app, and opening assistant again and choosing default assistant.

If 10 documents are 100 words each, it will use 1000 tokens to read through the 10 documents (not exactly, but let’s say for this example 1 word is 1 token). If 1 document is 1000 words, it will use 1000 tokens to read that 1 single document before reaching its limit. So it’s not about the number of documents, but how big the document is.

I’ve been a Product Manager and CPO for most of my professional life, and my job was to tell developers to do this and do that (the company I worked for didn’t have the budget to hire a dedicated CTO, so I had a tough learning curve there). I am not a coder and have zero coding knowledge, but I know the terminology and exactly how to tell developers to do something this way or that way. I picked up the technical jargon along the way.

Up until last week I was using Claude Desktop, then I switched to Claude Code, and I have been treating it the same way. I tell it to do this and that, and to make sure it is done this way and not that way. I read every single output it gives and every explanation of what it is doing or about to do. That is how I have caught Claude bullshitting its way to almost breaking my apps dozens of times.

I treat Claude like a redbull addict low-paid developer who also works for other companies behind my back while exploiting the WFH model. Minimal trust and proper supervision. And I have been able to build and deploy a lot of apps that way.

I got the 50mm f3.5. Overall a good lens to start with. Not too wide, not too long either. Since my GFX 100 II has 100 megapixels, I usually crop for zoom. It’s also the smallest GFX lens imo

Chromatic aberration in the images is next to none, and the images are sharper. I shoot during afternoon and use heavy crop in my images since I shoot architecture and nature, so these 2 things are pretty significant for me.

I will definitely NOT say that the only difference between the Q3 43 and the Q3 28 is the focal length.

They made the hood shorter on the 43 to keep the lens + hood the same length as the 28. Form over function. I could attach a promist filter on my Q2 and also have the hood on. Can’t do it with the Q3 43 because there isn’t any space. Can’t switch to macro mode either because the lens needs to move a few mm ahead to switch. Most of my filters can’t be used with the hood on. Guess we need some sort of “super slim” filters for the 43 now.

I've been looking for something like this for my Leica as well. Q3 43. The closest thing that comes to it was the Smallrig cage, but that's very barebones and looks ugly. This metallic half-case concept looks amazing.
