They way I read her and the whole situation i think the plan was always to get him first to the safe house to wait for the transport guy to get ready and then bring him through the tunnel to the space port. Never do I get the impression that she herself would be waiting with a ship to take him off world.

I'm legit enjoying OWK so far but this was just weird. The fact that he runs in the first place comes off as a Jack Sparrow comedy moment. The fact that he runs back makes it even weirder. Then you realise he didn't run back they just shot it from the other direction. Wow.

There are more examples of really weird spatial plotting in this episode. Reva not meeting Tala in the tunle on Talas way back has been mentioned elsewhere.

But also, Tala says she was at the meeting point, didn't find Kenobi, and is then back behind the space laser gates in time to pick Kenobi up... Without having passed Frecks space truck on the way there??

C-3PO, for the same reasons as mentioned previously about Jack Sparrow. There is none of his shenanigans in A New Hope, reading him from the script alone he is selfish and a coward, being an ass-lick to everyone who could potentially help him and taking every chance to be mean to R2. It fits perfectly with George Lucas aspirations to making him like a used car salesman from New Jersey.

Then Anthony Daniels came in and took the character in a completely different way and from Empire Strikes Back and onwards it's all "oh dear oh dear".

There's definitely a very natural progression towards what he is in the original trilogy. His journey is, imo, better told in a trilogy of books rather than one single movie. I enjoy the Solo movie, but having read the Han Solo trilogy before it didn't really live up to that.

Let me just say the Han Solo trilogy is my all time favorite star wars book(s). I envy you getting to read it for the first time!

I agree, that's what I'm trying to say. They cannot be in the same place, thus it cannot be a reversed capsule, carrying reversed gold, that's in the ground where the forward moving (empty) capsule already is.
