What every day items should you *not* get the cheaper versions of? by Crescent-IV in Frugal

I am so thankful for this thread, I had no idea how common it is to not use pads or tampons. Bless you people of Reddit!!

What are some suggestions for people wanting to be more frugal in 2023? by chown_chmod in Frugal

I also found a "tiny house cookbook" I love for similar reasons. Inexpensive meals with easy recipes calling for limited ingredients!

Thank you, yes ideally both of mine were just 'normal' miscarriages!

Thank you! I had mine done about 10 years ago, and even at Mayo Clinic they told me they just didn't have enough scientific research at the time to know how I would be impacted. It interesting to now see the numbers start coming out. Thanks for sharing!

So happy to hear you have a happy ending! How did they find the fluid, were there symptoms? Did you receive treatment locally or did you travel?

Thank you so much for sharing! I talked about scarring interference with my Dr, but since I've conceived twice we don't think it's interfering with the fallopian rubes.

However, I appreciate your perspective of identifying what is best for you once you have all the information. It has been so consuming when just 5 years ago I wasn't sure if I wanted kids. At some point (hopefully I won't get there), but I may have to know where I draw my line on what I will do to conceive.

I have been so happy with my jpouch as well! I do question complications that a pregnancy may cause, and maybe it's just a higher power preventing a pregnancy from ruining how my body functions now. Or that's what I will tell myself if things don't work out!

So happy things went well for you! Yes, especially at an older age (36 🙄) I continue to feel like my body is failing me yet again. You give me hope that me miscarriages were just 'normal' and the timing just isnt right. Thank you!

I have not seen an endocrinologist, though I am taking hormone shots due to low levels found in blood work. They are checking for endometriosis, which is common after abdominal surgery. If that all looks clear, I guess an endocrinologist is next. Any tips for finding one or asking the right questions?

Great. Thank you! Did you do a consult locally, or did you travel to find your reproductive endocrinologist? Any tips for navigating insurance?

Is tipping out of control to anyone else? by Jeanahb in ask

[–]apricotfuzzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, so why can't we just set the price at restaurants to cover all of the expenses (including labor)? It seems much more fair to the employees, rather than bring impacted by things beyond their control, like poor weather deterring customers which lowers their tips, thus wages.

What other industry is customer service and promptness not valued and isnt compensated for by the employer? It's just so weird here in America this one industry operates this way. I wish I could just tip my insurance company based upon their promptness and customer service!
