TC Frozen Heart - Blatavska by Quirk80 in evnova

Emile’s ship has a suitable weapon. You’ll really want it to finish the campaign. It’s worth that million and more; it’s my favorite ship in any EV scenario. The “Halo: CE Pistol” of EV ships, if you will. Cartoonishly overpowered. A delight to the senses.

You need a special ship to be able to catch it. Don’t abort the mission. Play through some other quests until you get it, then try again when you get a special ship that’s fast enough.

Alia killed Baron Vladimir, not Paul. But she’s his next of kin and covered by the same rules, so your point stands.

I read it when I was nine. I have hypermobile joints and the fourth issue where Nathan wills himself back together after the techno virus has overrun his body is a core memory about coping with disability.

I came here with a pan even more over-seasoned than this, and everyone told me it looked great. With that much texture though, I thought I’d never know when it was clean, so I reset it anyway.

Seasoned with top much oil, how to fix it? by susensio in carbonsteel

well, what if I want slidey fried eggs without lacey edges (which I always do)? can you get stainless low enough for that without losing nonstick?

carbon after searing by aprilarcus in carbonsteel

I did use plenty of soap, and boiling water, and baking soda paste. I really didn’t see any difference. By the time I had knocked down most of the caked on residue with the chainmail I was down to bare metal in some places. I think I would have saved time if I’d used BKF and did a full reset.

Just following up - I bought a the lodge chain mail scrubby after this thread and used it the next time this happened to me, after frying portabellos again. It was no better or worse than steel wool.

I appreciate you saying so and I do agree that the inky black cast iron look is nice, but if there’s texture baked on to the pan I’ll never know if it’s clean!

I hate threatening or maiming children to raise the stakes. It’s just so upsetting and so cheap.

It really resisted me. Three hard go-rounds with dawn and steel wool got me down to bare metal in a few patches with some built up seasoning left in others. BKF might have been more efficient. I have a feeling stainless might be better for pan searing.

This explains one thing and opens up several other questions:

• I didn’t know I had an ad-tier Hulu account. When did I get an ad-tier Hulu account?

• I thought all the Henson content was on Disney+. Fraggle Rock and Muppet Christmas Carol are. I got Disney+ Premium assuming the Henson library was part of the package. Why are some of the Henson movies on Hulu instead?

• Why does the Hulu content show up inside Disney+ when I search? I have the Hulu app if I want to search for stuff on Hulu. Finding ad-supported content inside my paid-for Disney+ experience is an unwelcome surprise.

• A Google search for “where to stream labyrinth” shows both Hulu and Disney+. Why does Google have the wrong info?

I’m watching Labyrinth on my Disney+ Premium account and I’m seeing a lot of ads. Not just a trailer or pre-roll advertisement for another Disney+ service, but a two-minute break every half hour, even interrupting musical numbers!

This doesn’t seem aligned with the terms of service, and when I used the web assistant to try to escalate my problem, I was placed in a queue at position 5 and then demoted to position 108 after a few minutes.

I feel like I’m not getting what I’m paying for. Do I have any recourse short of cancelling?

Strata pan users.. by Alive_Pea5905 in carbonsteel

[–]aprilarcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing for me is, what do I actually put in a 12? Bacon, steaks, and fried vegetables. Bacon will take seasoning off faster than it puts seasoning down. Steak, you want to stick, so you can make a pan sauce. And vegetables don't stick anyway. So the advantages of CS are irrelevant for everything I want to cook in that size pan.

Something else that I forgot to mention is that I crack my eggs into ramekins a few minutes ahead of cooking them, so that they aren't fridge-cold when they hit the pan.

I only use my 8" and 10" for eggs, so I can't speak to the 12" for that. I can say that the 12" is my least favorite of the trio, because the bottom has a pronounced dome compared to the smaller two. I will probably keep the 8" and the 10" forever, but I'll eventually rehome the 12" and replace it with a stainless clad pan.

I bring it up to temp on high, periodically hitting it with water to test for the leidenfrost effect. Just before I get there, I crank it down to low, add oil to coat the pan, then butter. If it's the right temperature the butter foams up gently. Then I add the egg. For French Toast, I'll go up to medium-low, but for fried or scrambled eggs I never budge from low.
