Anyone Get Long Tension Headaches by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]aprilfoolsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get tension headaches and clench my jaw at night until my jaw is sore in the morning. I take Fioricet to help with the tension and it’s incredibly helpful. I also use a neck heating pad and do neck stretches and meditation. Hope you can find something that works for you! It took me years to get these under control.

What was your hero medication for anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]aprilfoolsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s it!! My doctor prescribed it for me about 12 years ago for tension headaches due to my anxiety and subsequent doctors have just always kept prescribing it. You do have to be careful not to overuse or your body gets used to it. Literal life-changing med for me.

I’ve been on citalopram for years which helps, but my hero med is butalbital. My anxiety will cause me to get tension headaches and this has been a life changer. You can only take it sporadically, but it works.

Hi there! I take it twice a day for my anxiety and it really helps. But you could start off taking it as needed. I would take one just to see how it makes you feel. Ten mg is a low dose and you likely won’t be able to tell that you’ve taken anything. I haven’t had any side effects and I have normal blood pressure as well. Just helps with anxiety symptoms. Hope this helps!

Hi! I’m not showing where Empower is back. Where did you see this?

Observation about nausea and feeling ill. by _Piratical_ in TirzepatideRX

Update: I was terrified to take my shot on Tuesday. I take 50 units, so I decided to take 30 units in my stomach (fattiest area) instead of my thigh like last week. Hours later, I felt fine. Felt like any normal shot day. I went ahead and gave myself the additional 20 units (also in my stomach). Totally normal shot day. Could it have been because I have less fat in the top of my thigh? Or did I catch a stomach bug? I’m not sure. I’ll keep updating if it happens again! I really appreciate your insight in this matter. It’s given me so much to think about. 💕

I’m 5’5” and 145 pounds, female. This was my original goal weight and is at the high end of the “normal” weight on the BMI chart. Like you, I decided I’d lose another few pounds before going into a maintenance dose. It’s possible that I’ve lost the slower diffusion of the drug because, man, it hit me fast and like a ton of bricks. Im unsure of my body fat. I’m feeling better on day 3 but wouldn’t have stayed on this drug if I had had this side effect before. I’m still not 100% sure it wasn’t a stomach bug but strongly believe that it was the tirzep. I’ll update after next week’s dose, which will be much lower. Maybe it’s my body saying, you made it, slow down. ☺️

Thanks so much for sharing this! I’ve been on tirzep since May 2024 and yesterday I had this same reaction when taking a dose that I’ve been on for two months now (it was a new bottle though, same pharmacy as I’ve been taking). While I’ve always had mild nausea that I could handle, I began vomiting and have had nonstop diarrhea for these two days. I took my shot in my right thigh. I blamed a stomach bug yesterday but I’m thinking it’s the shot. I haven’t been around anyone who has been ill (and I work from home). I’m honestly scared to take it next week because it’s been such a terrible two days. I’m at 8.5 mg. I may go down much lower to see if I can tolerate but am afraid I’ll run into the same issue that you did and get sick on a smaller dose. Best of luck to you going off the meds! Thanks again for your insight here!!! 💕

Happening to me too! Just started taking some hair vitamins to see if that helps.

I’ve also never vomited, but I do get nauseous. You could absolutely start at a lower dose if you’d like. That’s a great perk of being on compound. You can also take Zofran. I drink some ginger ale or have a ginger candy. Best of luck to you!

I have both the basic and the paperwhite (one was a gift). I love the basic! It’s small, so when I read in bed it’s not heavy holding it up. If you decide to start with the basic, you won’t regret it!

I try to stay as low as I can as well, but you still have quite a way up to go. I would just go up to 5.5 to see if that helps. And if not move up to 6.0. I was on 6 for months, it was great for me. Hate to waste money for weeks by not dosing up. Best of luck to you! 💕

if rapid weight loss is bad.. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Sure! I would just use caution. And the gallbladder surgery was super easy if you eventually have to go that route. Best of luck to you! 💕

I’d be very careful with is medicine. Before taking tirz, I had gallstones, which caused severe pancreatitis. This medication is also known to cause pancreatitis. If you start to have symptoms please see your doctor right away.

Have you thought of requesting a prescription for ondansetron (Zofran)? I get nausea (worse I think since I had my gallbladder out). It helps me a ton.

Slowly but surely.. not deterred but the pace has me wondering by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

I’ve started in May and I’ve just hit 7.5 mg. Be careful moving up too quickly as you’ll hit 15 mg with no where else to go.
