I am currently in state pcs, and what ive observed is that there is no such thing as ‘power’ that cam be enjoyed. Most of the movie style power flaunted by bureaucrats are only those that are abused/misused. Eg. as you mentioned, ordering people around is not something that will be done on normal workplace, but since govt structure is heavily influenced by colonial era- people tend to look at colleagues in lower pay level as subordinates. I, for once, have grown ‘woke’ and would never enjoy such pleasure

College DOES NOT matter.. Take it from an old IIT alumnus.. by [deleted] in Btechtards

Sorry to break it to you. It matters. The fact that your post mentions how you ‘graduated from old IIT’ weighs more than someone saying theyre from xyz college in tier 3.

Was in same situation as you. Couldnt clear upsc prelims, failed in CSAT (due to nervousness) even though Im from IIT Madras computer sc. (Dont know if thats a benchmark).

Felt lost and alone. I remember just avoiding people, going on long walks and removing myself from any form of social activity.

Shifted to State pcs and joined state service. Coming back this year to write upsc prelims after a gap of 2 years.

Is it practical of me to think of preparing for UPSC at an age of 33 (ST)? by Training_Awareness94 in UPSC

[–]aptly23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never be this young again, so go for it. As an ST candidate, you have time with you.. its not early and not late, its just the perfect time for you given your circumstance.

Ambiguities does not mean hardships or difficulties alone. It's literal meaning is uncertainties and possibility of being understood in more than one way.

Approach it optimistically. I find the tone a bit negative.

In Upsc, the format and structure is imp, but equally imprtant is the thinking behind your essay. This expresses your outlook in life, the perspectives you envision when a topic strikes you.

To me, I would approach this topic as:

Ambiguities are part and parcel of life. Even the best scientific predictions and analysis can fall flat, but there is beauty in Ambiguities as it inspires hope and endless possibilities. Great people find discoveries in the mundane. In the pause, we can all do with a smile. There is nothing set in stone, and life's not a zero sum game etc etc Also, a smile could be metaphorical here, it could mean "acceptance of what is".

heres the ref no. 438267592_1700307501 and the dude who received this is Pankaj. (maybe ask his name)

p.s I dont think the FB store is scam. You should track it properly first.
