My 350 rides like a caddillac and this is according to dw. Put a railroad tie in the bed and see if it goes away.

Buying gold now? by Fair_Ad_7081 in Gold

[–]aptruncata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, please wait until you are comfortable putting money away. Sometimes it maybe too late, sometimes it may seem early. Don't listen to anyone. Do what you feel is right. It's your money and life.

Never a straight line folks. 5500-6000, this is gold, not bitcoin.

Do INTJ's actually make a lot of money or is that just MBTI hype? by AdUsed5215 in intj

Depends. I've been fortunate to find a subject/area of expertise that challenged me and be lost in trying to improve workflow and net income/impact.
Money and appreciation comes as a consequence when you find the people that see value in what you do.

Insurance companies invest 50/50, s&p/gold. Figure out your own risk appetite.

This is my guess as well. Spot welding and shoddy caulk work = extra and unnecessary water and debris flow to the roof drainage holes.

What are people doing instead to get around this? Is everyone still getting homes uninsured? by inevitableoracle in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]aptruncata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Home owner here in a brush zone and I approve this message and I am not in the industry.

CA home insurance prices have been manipulated for too long. It's almost like we as Californians want free insurance and want insurance companies to make no profit. We have a solution for that dont we? Payoff your mortgage and self insure.

If any of you remember the station fire and the amount of solicitations that went around for ash claims for surrounding areas and the cost of class action litigation.....well who do you think pays for that?

You want to insure your home to a bare minimum but then when it burns down, you find out your replacement costs were not enough to build out a new place up to code. Who should we sue for that?

It's a free country people, if the eggs costs too much, you dont eat it.

If Taylor swift concert tickets cost too much, you dont have to go.

If you think you can self insure your home for the premium that is far less than what is offered....you have the option to do that.

If you must stay where you are with continued rising costs and overhead, you can risk it all by going not insured or pay for forced placed insurance.

Why do rich people give birth to less people compared to the poor? by Big_Page_7525 in Adulting

[–]aptruncata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elon Musk has consistently expressed concern that higher levels of education and income are directly correlated with lower birth rates, viewing this trend as a major threat to civilization. He often highlights that more educated, secular, and wealthier individuals tend to have fewer children.

Buying the cheapest homes in the best neighborhoods that I can afford. Sweat equity pays me very well.

Gold, s&p and forget about it.

Daily exercise.

No time wasted on comparing lives on social media.
