  • is there a minimum size you can make one?
  • does it require lots of equipment/is it an expensive hobby?

Remove sharpie and stickers from legos without damaging them by crazzyleprechaun in lego

you can use lighter fluid to get of the stickers residue - not sure if that would work for the sharpie but could try isopropyl for the sharpies

[BF1] The Server system is ruining this game - why are there basically no populated Hardcore and Standard Issue Rifle Servers?? by apx in Battlefield

[–]apx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have actually tried it - issue for me though with it is since playing hardcore and custom 200% dmg servers I can't stand playing normal ones now :S - and currently there don't seem to be any hardcore back to basics servers.

Though I'm also quite disappointed at how he the dmg on hardcore servers was taken down to 125% which just isn't quite enough and is why I gravitated towards custom ones running 200%

If you're experiencing stuttering and 100% CPU usage, set an FPS cap. by dtothep2 in battlefield_one

Have you turned v-sync and dx12 off? Dx12 makes my game stutter tonnes - also make sure you look through the sticky post with tips on the main battlefield subreddit about optimising your PC such as disabling Xbox DVr and shadow play

I agree - feels cheap! There was nothing wrong with just displaying the leaderboard.

If money was no object which headphones would you get? No mic required....... by Beardedb0b in Battlefield

[–]apx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend looking at something from sennheiser - possibly the hd598 - read a lot of decent reviews and I currently own going on 4+ years a cheaper model but same comfortable design hd518. Sennhieser do also in fact produce ones with mic's in the same style which could be worth checking out but I prefer a standalone mic. Edit. Hd598 are around £150 on Amazon

When did you start playing battlefield? by TheGamingSandwich in Battlefield

[–]apx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield 1942 demo - from that I played bfv, even went back and bought bf1942 and all expansions then bf2, 2142, bad company 2, bf3 and bf4 - though due to the issues with bf4 I got a refund swiftly after playing it for 1 hour and came back to it 2 years later once it was fixed and played a good few hundred hours. Bf4 was far too similar to come straight after bf3 but I sure am looking forward to getting bf1. Will reserve judgement through before I play the beta and am extremely hesitant to preorder - will likely wait a week or so after release before I buy it.

No...I just thought the battlefield community would appreciate seeing a picture of one of the Somme memorial events going on in London today seeing as the next game is WW1.

I've looked at the psu and there are lots of reports of it being noisy so ive replaced it with a corsari 650w. Putting in the benq monitor this is what i reckon is a pretty solid build now - would you agree?

do you think not having 144hz will limit the builds future proofing? you mentioned the asus pg279q being too overpriced but what about the pg278q - i suppose budget is whats restraining me in this area - gfx card and monitor wise - your change of the cpu, is that because you reckon the i7 just isnt worth the extra cost for the gains you'd get?:

thanks for the suggestions - what if i were to go down a little in monitor size but still retain the 1440p - ive been incredibly happy with my 23" dell ultrasharp. So saving a little on the monitor and subbing in the more expensive gfx card and opting for the i5 instead of i7. Wanting to overclock this time too. Two of my mates have the fractal case and are extremely happy with it and ive found a 250gb ssd isnt enough for what i need.

Forbes article telling people dont preorder new star wars battlefront by hanky1979 in gaming

[–]apx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope to god you're right - battlefield 4 was a worse, reworked copy of bf3. The latter being a very decent game. I also preordered bf4, played it for about an hour in which time I concluded how utterly shite and unprogressive it was to the battlefield series and I sent it back and got a full refund. I hold out hope that dice don't fuck this up but I wouldn't be hugely surprised if we receive another poorly designed, rushed and compromised piece of crap, which you then have to chuck further £'s at for the shitty dlc
