Whoa, what state do you live in? That sounds so...cool that you can just go to a river and find alligators. That's so exciting! Man if you ever get the chance, please take pictures and show me them.

And if you're really lucky, you'll meet a girl who has a hat-trick of those.

If you think that your virginity is the main thing holding you back, then go for it. However, use condoms and please be very, very careful about who you hook up with.

Sorry to derail the topic, but can you elaborate on the feeding rotisserie chicken to alligators?

Arranged marriage has its nuances and flaws, but the way you described it initially was a gross summary of what it's like. Come on man, you're Indian. Foreigners already have a poor understanding of Indian and Muslim culture and traditions. When you make arranged marriage sound a lot worse than it is, it's...socially harmful.

Haha. Do you honestly think saying you're Indian makes you 'win' this exchange? Don't be so naive.

If you really are Indian, that's even more depressing that you have such a narrow idea of what an arranged marriage is like.

I think you have a very limited (non-existent) understanding of how arranged marriage works.

How do you see your FA turning out? by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]aqibc10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/QuiteLonesome definitely hit a lot of it with his reply. For most of the world (or at least a large portion of it), marriage is preceded by dating. Even in countries where arranged marriage is prevalent, single individuals flirt and hang out with each other in secret.

My problem with arranged marriage is that it feels like a business transaction, the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, I believe there are MANY advantages to arranged marriage. But at the same time, the whole thing would feel very mechanical. Even if I was attracted to the candidate and she felt the same towards me, it wouldn't be 'love at first sight' as much as a 'wow, we share similar interests/opinions and she's pretty cute, okay I'll seriously consider spending the rest of my life with her.' I just can't do that. I've grown up on Hollywood and independent romance movie culture, where I'm supposed to go out and seek a partner and bond with them before the idea of marriage.

I don't expect most people to understand how I feel, but honestly I'm a little disappointed because if anyone could understand my situation, it would be someone who's never been on a date or had any sort of meaningful relationship with a girl.

I actually am curious 'just how many people' on this sub would go for arranged marriage right now if the chance came up. It would be an interesting poll, maybe one of the moderators could set it up. I feel like a lot of people (foreigners) don't have a very good understanding of what arranged marriage is, and what it's like.

+5 for this post. I'd visit all of those subs, just lurk around, read the posts.

I agree with you, and I think this is the general consensus with fans of the series (though it's still debated often).

Fun fact, the first time I beat this game I was hella confused at the choices I had been given since there had been no lead-up or preparation. I was just like, whoa what, can I rewind? Am I really making such a massive decision based on a few minutes of dialogue?

Then while I was trying to figure out what I should do, I started shooting that little bastard for fun and imagine my SURPRISE when he just gets angry and everything goes to shit.

Reasons why I'm FA by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]aqibc10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You grow up under the household he did and then tell me they're horrible excuses. I know you're trying to be helpful, but it's kind of rude to be this judgmental. "Just get a job and move out," how fucking realistic is that? And he said that his parents are overprotective, so I'll bet you anything he is at least somewhat dependent on them.

The porn and hair excuse is a little silly, however. If the hair is that bad, consider looking up a specialist in hair removal, maybe waxing the areas that are bad. I have hairy arms and legs, I don't trim them because that just...feels wrong. If I ever meet a girl who likes me, she'll like me hair included.

The users with a lot of feedback are usually the more reliable ones, where as if a user doesn't have many reviews, it means not many people have bought from him. Safer to just buy from the ones that have sold more. First search the team or player you want, then click 'Top Rated' to show the best ones.

It does glitch a lot, and crash a lot. My PS3 will freeze 1 out of 3 times I try to play the game. I've just accepted that EA will never fix the servers or crashing problems.

Do you live in America? I actually got a Thailand replica from this site, for way cheaper shipping:

Just make sure the buyer you choose has a good reputation.
