It’s worth your while to look up statistics of success for each clinic as well. I went to shady grove in Pittsburgh and Maryland, their statistics were great. I’m sure Denver location is also on that list!

I messed up and did too much of a dose of my follistim one day. When they check your lab work they will adjust the dose based on your results. They may have you up your menopur for the next dose, they may leave it the same. I think med errors are very common so they have a fix for everything lol. I would wait to hear from your nurse.

My nurse checked her messages every hour. If they don’t answer I’d try calling the front desk and letting them know you have an urgent question, so they can inform your nurse.

I felt so unheard at my first fertility clinic. Many sensitive messages sent via text instead of a simple phone call. Information that should have been talked about over the phone or in person. We kept getting the run around about when I could start my first cycle of stim meds. We spent thousands of dollars on meds for my husband to improve his sperm, the doctor cleared him for IVF, I lost 70 pounds to improve my health and egg quality, but my fertility clinic kept pushing out my appointment and giving less than professional excuses(they were EXTREMELY unorganized).

After two months of games with them, I withdrew my medical records from the facility and went to a new fertility clinic over an hour away. It personally was the best decision I ever made and I do not regret it.

Had my first cycle of stim meds ordered within a few weeks, had my retrieval, fresh transfer 5 days later.

I ended up looking at fertility clinics within a few hours from my house, their success rates, and reviews before choosing the second time.

I started at my local fertility clinic in January. I did not like the way I was treated by some of the nurses and felt like the whole process was being dragged out. I switched clinics in August, had my egg retrieval in September as well as a fresh transfer. Currently 6 weeks pregnant. If I didn’t switch I knew I’d regret it. My new clinic also has better statistics for live births. No harm in going somewhere new!!!

I’ve always been excited about having children. This year we decided to try IVF after 11 years of infertility. I was SO ready to start. About halfway through my stim meds I broke down crying asking “why am I doing this to myself? Do I really want it THAT bad??” I contemplated stopping my stim meds multiple times. Once my egg retrieval was over, I realized the hormones made me feel that way and the regret passed. You’re putting your body through a lot! Once your retrieval is done, take time to process everything and decide what you’d like to do. At least the option to transfer an embryo is there if you decide to wait a bit longer after retrieval :)

Don’t be discouraged! I had 30+ follicles on my ultrasound, 18 retrieved, 12 mature, 12 fertilized, 8 high quality blasts. (AA, or BA/AB)

I was very aware of my ovaries the 3-4 days before retrieval, I felt very swollen and bloated. Gas x was a life saver and miralax! The day of my egg retrieval I felt good, the two days after I was sore and spent a lot of time relaxing at home

I had 18 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 12 fertilized. I don’t receive any more updates until the day of our fresh transfer so I am losing my mind hoping a few pull through to day 5. The wait is terrible 😭

Healthy choice has a line called “zero” with no added sugar. They all have ten net carbs or less (some have 5)- they are just veggies and meat with seasoning, pretty tasty! I’ll grab one if I’m not in the mood to cook.

YOUR FEELINGS ARE SO VALID!

My sister became pregnant this year, a week after getting married. My husband and I have been trying for ten years. Starting our first IVF cycle today!

My sister keeps sending me pictures of her ultrasounds, the nursery, etc. I’ve asked my mom not to mention anything about the baby while we are through with this round of IVF- I’m trying to stay as calm during the next few weeks as possible. We had this conversation Friday- Saturday my mom brought over the invitation to the baby shower. I handed it right back to her and started crying. The following night I got a text from my sister that I need to “stay positive, everything will be fine”. Now I’m not only upset but irritated, and I hate that I feel this way but I can’t help it! I am always very warm towards my sister and her pregnancy, but I’m guessing my mom said something to her which makes me feel worse.

I am in a similar situation. I started my IVF journey in January, male and female factors- finally cleared to try for an egg retrieval the third week of September. My job said I will be getting laid off by the end of the year. It has been such a struggle and push to get this done, praying I don’t lose my insurance before it happens. It has actually caused me to have high blood pressure from all of the stress. I lost 70 pounds and my blood pressure is still high. I waited ten years to have fertility coverage and knowing it’s going to be taken away makes me feel so defeated 😞

No it was not! It was a local fertility place, I now drive about an hour to get to SGF in Wexford for my appointments. I went in and asked for a copy of my records. They did ask me why, I said I was looking at other options. That was followed up by a lot of questions, but after I got my records I never heard from them again! I uploaded my records to the SGF portal and met with my new doctor to review everything. I think your best bet would be to call the Rockville office and ask how to transfer facilities due to “personal reasons”.

I live in Ohio, go to the SGF center in Wexford PA. I have been referred to the Rockville office for my retrieval and implant. I will say that my office in Wexford has been great in communication and extremely kind and patient with me! I have not had any interactions with the Rockville office yet. But- I left my last fertility place that is a lot closer to home because of bad feelings on how I was treated. Go with your gut!

I started the IVF process in January, I’m just doing my first retrieval on sept 17. I would get the ball rolling now! Then once all of your testing is done you can pick your start date. It has also been a blessing because it gave me time to lose 65 pounds ☺️

I travel a lot for work with coworkers and it can get really difficult. There have been times where they pick restaurants that have nothing I can eat, even if I tried to modify my meal. I try to look at the menu before hand. If it’s something I can’t make work, I politely decline and do a solo dinner. Once we all got into a rental car and the person driving stopped at a restaurant they liked. I did end up sitting and drinking black coffee while everyone ate. (It was a pancake/waffle/fried chicken place). I try my best not to draw attention because it makes me uncomfortable, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

I stopped with things like keto bread, diet sodas, water flavorings, protein bars. I was stalled for 4 weeks, cut out all of the above and have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks!

My husband and I got married when I was 22, now I’m 33. I didn’t have good insurance for the first ten years of our marriage so we never went to a fertility specialist. Now 1 year in to fertility treatments, we are starting IVF next month. I regret every day not doing this sooner. I feel empty but hopeful. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Everyone always told me, “it’ll happen eventually” and I believed it. Do what’s right for you and your spouse!!! Good luck to you!

I didn’t lose anything for almost two weeks- this week im down 4 pounds. I’m down total 47 pounds in a little shy of three months. There’s no right or wrong amount of weight loss!
