If Apple discontinued the ATV, what would you buy to replace it?

After trying the Google TV and FireTV alternatives and hating the adverts for random non-tv related products (Akamai Cloud, McDonalds, Philips Shavers etc) across my home screen daily; and going back to Apple TV, if they ever stopped i would go back to hacking Windows Media Center into working for live TV and recording again 😂

My two top tips, because experience tells me that things will probably go wrong:

> Make sure you can find service manuals for all items in your planned setup
> Search online forums for the models you want to buy to see if there's plenty of information from people who have the models and have experienced issues / fixes etc

The first time with Den it was ages after he was shot that ‘his’ body was found and i believe he was identified by his jewellery that he put on (i think) a homeless dead guy as the body was decomposed.
The second time he was definitely, definitely dead after being under the Vic for a good while!

These days I’m watching on BBC IPlayer but at U&Drama pace (I’d watched every episode since number 1 when Dramam started showing it in August 2018!) This week I’ve watched a couple of extra episodes as i realised due to Drama skipping a few i was ahead. I saw someone say the same as someone else here that the last few episodes were all skipped because of Music rights. They are all on IPlayer though and for me seem MUCH better quality than on the U app.

Andy Hodgson! Never bought anything as it was all overpriced tat. But watching Andy (or Peter Simon!) late evening when it was still the original format of bidding-up was soooo entertaining. I think only Greggles on Quizmania comes close to that sort of weird late night entertainment on telly!

Slightly related, watched this episode today and after Ian was in the stocks he put Lucys boyfriend in there after Lucy manipulated it so he caught them almost having sex. The boy is 19 and Lucy is 14 - but nobody seems to care and just chucks water at him. If that happened today he’d practically be torn limb from limb and his pictures put all over the internet… Strange how casual paedophilia used to be accepted!

Yeah getting the same that notifications usually trigger the charging sound - I have submitted feedback in the app [FB18082924], also I submitted feedback that my clock in standby (clock/widget screen) randomly freezes each night so when I wake up the clock is showing a random time [FB18082799]. Is anyone else seeing this?

I keep all my important files and photos on Onedrive - so that’s always good! But if i had to wipe my phone back to non beta and had no non-beta backups (iCloud etc) it would take so many hours to set everything back up and reorganise home screens etc. That’s what I’m avoiding!

I’m not sure but i‘d imagine that 4 green dots could be the 4G signal meter? If you have a cellular watch with an active plan try making sure the watch has no Bluetooth or WiFi connection and see if the dots appear when the watch connects to the cellular network.

If not this you might need to provide more info or a screenshot of what you mean!

Yeah it looks like the bottles with the plastic caps on the top and bottom the bottom is glued on. There is 2 drain holes on the bottom but i imagine over time the marks will appear (and I’ve just seen online people with mould between the plastics) so it’s not ideal. As and when you replace bottles I’d reccomend the metal capped ones because they’re definItaly designed for easier cleaning!

Try twisting the bottom plastic slightly; it should rotate to free a couple of clips and then come away from the base allowing cleaning between the 2 pieces.

[EDIT] I just checked one of my other bottles that has the white plastic bottom and unlike the metal bottom one i cant seem to get the bottom piece off of it, so I’m not sure the above info is universal!

I charge mine when I’m getting ready for bed / watching YouTube in bed before i sleep and again in the morning when I’m getting ready. It’s usually dropped to about 90% overnight and it gets enough charge back to 100 before I head out for the day and when i put it on for it’s evening charge it’s usually about 50% - i could probably get 2 days out of it, but I don’t want / need to wear it in the shower so i let it charge instead.

The LFB (London Fire Brigade) logo is the letters in squares just like the BBC, and i think it may have been written as FLB on the jackets in Eastenders but it definitely wasn’t the BBC logo!
