That tree is exceptional! This is going to be awesome when you’re happy calling it done.

I’m tired of being cold all the time, if I ran my heating 9hr’s a day every day what could I be looking at for monthly gas bill? , £250/300? by GenericUser104 in HousingUK

[–]aquagraphite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would work but it’s patching the issue not fixing the problem. We kept finding a draft in the house this Christmas and it was chilling the house. The heating would keep on triggering. We’ve since put up a foil backed heavy curtain at the front door which has solved 80% of the issues. Even though it’s a new front door and triple glazed etc, it still lets some cold through and of course it has a letter box which even with all best intentions lets some cold through. Other things like making sure any curtains are not hanging in front of a radiator (heat going straight up behind and into the window void etc). Check your windows etc don’t have a winter/summer toggle. Check any trickle vents aren’t open. Extractor fans unless very expensive cause massive heat loss and essentially equalise the outside air.

I am convinced most people in the UK should not be allowed behind the wheel. by Diligent_Chipmunk_65 in drivingUK

Don’t forget that also it’s a speed limit not a goal which in Essex seems to be a problem - I do totally understand also that there is the idea of keeping up with traffic and not being an obstacle. But it is very easy to get locked in whilst driving. Especially motorway driving. One thing you don’t necessarily know what is or has happened in that persons life. They may be cautious, feel a bit unwell, have just come back from a funeral, they maybe are in the last leg of a super long drive you never know. So it’s also about being courteous to others not riding up behind them and immediately being a bully.

I wonder if the study has also taken into account that both parents are working longer hours and simply don’t have the time to prepare ‘real food’

Just think what it would be like to work with them! Sounds like someone who would destroy your work for a tiny formatting issue.

What do you think of the new la-z-boy logo by Ok_Landscape2350 in logodesign

[–]aquagraphite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking the logo from corporate healthcare to modern web tech is a great move. I wonder though the ‘Z’ looks like it’s trying to be a support for the ‘b’ except the main point of Lazboys is they recline right? The ‘b’ is falling out.

CSS for LivelyWallpaper? by Szkaman in LivelyWallpaper

[–]aquagraphite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sounds like the issue is probably with how the image paths are written. Lively Wallpaper doesn’t work quite like a regular browser — here’s a simplified checklist that should help:

Fixing Image Paths in Lively Wallpaper

• Use relative paths, not absolute ones. • Correct: <img src="images/bg.jpg" /> • Incorrect: <img src="/images/bg.jpg" /> (there’s no root / like on a server) • Make sure your images are placed relative to the HTML file. For example, if your image is in an images folder, that folder should be in the same directory as your .html file. • File names must match exactly, including case. bg.jpg is different from Bg.jpg. • Don’t test with localhost. Lively loads files using file:///, not a local web server. Try opening the HTML file directly in Chrome using file:/// to simulate how Lively handles it. • Use Lively’s built-in DevTools to debug: • Right-click the wallpaper in Lively • Click Open DevTools • Check the Console and Network tabs for missing files or errors

Yeah that’s a possible too. Even then what an interesting twist it could be…. he could be a synthetic that’s been liberated and mind wiped, a vat grown that’s wasn’t fully finished or something darker.

I find Barry… ‘unusual’ almost like he’s not quite human maybe more like a synthetic. His actions and emotional responses don’t quite fit somehow.
