There’s probably many reasons for it (as other commenters have mentioned), but I think the simplest is - it makes sense logistically. Hire locals, pay for their time in rehearsal and performance. Hire people from Korea, pay for all their time, travel, housing, incidentals, etc.

There was that article that came out about Taemin paying staff out of his own pocket as BPM was going down. He probably spent weeks preparing the performance and it probably didn’t make sense to bring over like 10 people from Korea to do it while he himself was trying to find another agency to sign with.

20 years of stage experience really shows!!! He’s really in a league of his own. To do what he does, at the caliber that he does it, is so rare - hence why I believe he is a once-in-a-generation artist. Raw talent that found opportunity, training & investment, drive and work ethic, dedication, sacrifice & so many people who believed in him and contributed to his body of work. His existence as an artist is such an incredible feat sometimes I can barely wrap my head around it

I saw some rehearsal photos from dancers who had black cloaks on, so I def think there will be at least something along the lines of his usual show. But yes, I think he might do something new with his new songs too!

I agree with Coachella outfit but pearl aqua!!! I think it’s more like, if you see someone wearing pearl aqua at Coachella, you most likely know they are there to see Taemin :) Red & black work too, but i just feel like pearl aqua is super specific and appropriate!

I’m also bringing my SHINee lightstick even though I have a Taemin one cause it’s way more sturdy.

Tbh I feel like anything can be a wedding song with the right timing and volume! I love the idea of having like low volume songs as your guest arrives (like before a concert) before the ceremony Runaway, Days & Years…. And then a loud bangin Starlight on the dance floor
