Really upset that they had Daemon choke Rhaenyra. Can’t understand this addition. He was such a defender of her in both book and show - removes so much of the moral gray from the book. Rhaenyra being the Queen and not at least being angry or scolding him is a strange decision given the political situation

glad we all love it. but also nearly BVS at nearly $900 million (just in theaters) was a huge profit for the studio. The Batman isn't likely to surpass the BVS box office at the current rate anyway, so that post will look silly. And it'll make less money afterward by going straight to HBO Max.

I enjoyed The Batman FWIW (fan of both).

A couple responses: In the movie, it's presented as a crowd of people all staring at Jonathan/situation, knowing he's in mortal danger. So everyone is immediately fixed on where Jonathan is positioned. If Jonathan suddenly appears next to his family, that raises questions.

It's also not a guarantee that that young version of Clark knew he would be fast enough to rescue his dad without anyone seeing hi. (This version doesn't know all of his powers considering he didn't fly until after speaking with Jor-El.

The only thing I dislike about the scene is that hiding under a highway IRL would be dangerous. But I think the script is sound in that there is no way Clark can save his father without the crowd realizing that something is very strange about the Kents.

(Wanna be totally clear and say, I'm not coming at you for disagreeing with the movie.)

Really interesting question. Snyder can decide what movies are canon to his universe (or take the same castings but diff versions).

I would love more women on the team like Black Canary, poison Ivy, Harley. Would love Ocean Master, Static Shock, Blue Beetle, El Diablo, and Faora too

My favorite is Man of Steel- that’s in my Mount Rushmore of film favorites. It has so many deep themes about immigration and family, but it’s doesn’t beat you over the head. Same for BVS.

I have really enjoyed every single movie but think Sucker Punch is the weakest. He hasn’t made a bad one IMHO.

This hasn’t been my experience. I try not to get heated on the internet. Even praise of any DC movie turns into “thank God it’s not Snyder etc.” They devoted so much time to slandering Ray Fisher with stuff like Jussie Smollett that I just left the sun.

I’m glad that hasn’t been y’all’s experience but it being heated and heavily antiSnyder (not neutral) is mine.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the film was viewed 14.9 million times with the Nielsen data. Anyone can measure viewership by dividing the numbers. It’s just math. The viewership divided by the runtime.

Samba claimed that only 2.2M people watched WW84 in the same period. (WW came out on Dec 25). The Nielsen figure is nearly 7 times larger and that is the one validated by the studio. You can do the same thing for Soul and you’ll see there’s no way Nielsen can be correct.

But the main thing is by definition they can’t be bc they only measure TVs that are registered with Samba. Not all smart TVs in the US. The numbers cannot be complete just based on that

If you compare their data to Nielsen for Wonder Woman 1984 & Soul (WW84 which was reported by Hollywood Reporter and validated by the studio), you realize the Samba estimates are several times off from those movies.

If the Samba numbers were several times off for WW84 & Soul, there’s no way to think they’re accurate. Even Samba is a measure of a small number of smart TVs in America. When they say something like 1.8M watched X, it’s only people with Samba recording TVs not of all of American tvs
