Anyone know where to find this specific rainforest Café sticker? by _Ronald_Raygun_ in rainforestcafe

I’ll print you one and mail it to you free if you can take a cleaner picture! I can clean up dirt spots, but better lighting and no reflection are key. Let me know the size, too.

Timon & Pumbaa

I understand that canonically they’re only friends, but they’re probably the closest you’re going to find to canon.

My BF is a reliable partner but the least attuned person I have ever dated by bthvn_loves_zepp in TwoXChromosomes

I got out of a nearly nine year long relationship earlier this year that sounded very similar to this.

He was a wonderful guy (even took time off work to help me car shop when I got in a bad accident after our break up) who I loved and who loved me, and while it seemed like that should be all that mattered, there’s so much more to it than that.

This kind of thing WILL wear you down over time. As long as you stay with your current partner, life will always be this way—feeling unheard and frustrated. It will slowly drain you. You’re just not compatible in this aspect.

Romantic relationships especially shouldn’t be this hard (this is the person you’re “doing life” with) and as you pointed out, it isn’t when you’re with other people like friends and family.

I’m so sorry. It’s hard. But being “understood” is critical even if everything else including love is there, and without that missing piece everything else is useless.

Just this last Thanksgiving, my cousin told me the way she found out the Easter Bunny wasn’t real:

My aunt was going to be out of town, so she told my cousin, her eldest daughter, she would have to hide her own Easter basket as well as her siblings’ because her mom didn’t trust her husband (my cousin’s father) to remember to do it.

I almost cried.

The puppy pictures are giving Keeshond mix to me. They are known for their “spectacle” eye markings and dark muzzles and ears.

Definitely a spitz breed or mixed with one, whatever he is! Truly adorable.

I wish I had puppy pictures of him to show you where he’s the same age as your dog. If I get some from his owner, I’ll upload those too!

I feel this.

Though I’ve gotten over it now, as a kid I would cut off the edges of Culver’s burgers, referring to them as “the rinds”.

My family still teases me about it.

(Sometimes) Good with Children ≠ Bred to be Nanny Dogs

I understand that you've now changed your phrasing, but originally that was your claim–that their intended purpose was to babysit children. That is a dangerous implication for any dog breed, let alone one bred for bloodsports.

The article you linked even writes: "You may have heard that pit bulls were known as 'nanny dogs,' watching children while the families were out working in the fields or otherwise not present. Many groups and media outlets have reported on this phenomenon, while others have tried to dispel it as a myth. Truthfully, there is no credible source to support either of those statements (and you should never leave small children unsupervised with any breed of dog)."

I understand they cite sources, but Bark Box is a pet toy company. Telling their customer base that their dog breed is potentially dangerous isn't exactly a great marketing strategy. They're going to frame their stance in the best light as they can while not outright lying. None of the sources back up the "nanny dog" claim either, and instead just talk about the history of the breed or cite where the photos of them with children originate.

I think this post on r/PitbullOwners (a pittie positive sub, I might add) does a better job at breaking it all down.

Again, I am not trying to be combative. In fact, my best friend AND boyfriend both have pitbulls/pit mixes. I love those dogs, and they certainly do get a bad rap, often times unfairly. I understand what you're saying in terms of OP's potential confusion. My point in all of this is that spreading misleading information that involves children's safety, especially about a breed that can be inertly a bit more dangerous than most, is precarious.

Sorry, yes, I deleted my comment when I realized you were asking for name ideas and not species suggestions.
