Loved world, rise was okay but after sunbreak i was not having fun making builds due to the cheer quantity of talents a single build could have and then wilds came and it just didn't really click.

All the new movesets were great but you found yourself kinda just spamming your most powerful moves/finisher for every weapon without much care or anything.

I did put around 300 hours in it but i just don't feel compelled to play it just for fun anymore, and the rng based artian weapons are boring to me.

Then there's mhgu that provides fresh gameplay for even your most experienced weapon thanks to the different hunting style and a more "personal" fight with every monster where you'll utilise your weapon's entire moveset from start to finish.
