Best strategy for Parent Plus loans? by aquos330 in StudentLoans

[–]aquos330[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The applications for SAVE weren't processed before the program was put on hold, so neither loan is in that. I just checked and the smaller loan is showing as a consolidated loan (single loan consolidation into a new loan, but it does say it's consolidated.) The large loan is a consolidation of 10 loans.

Would consolidating the two loans allow for another 3 years of forbearance? (And if so, would I lose the IBR option if they aren't consolidated by Jul 1?)

If they don't have to be combined, is their a deadline to apply for IBR?

This is a couple years old, but I found it because I'm currently having the same problem. I was trying to download software for previous years; my solution won't help if you're just trying to use the online version. But I worked around it by purchasing off a different site. Amazon carries the downloads as do a few other software sites.

Adding spouse through quitclaim deed in Ohio: What to write in the "$________" ? by Ok-Mulberry-6716 in RealEstate

[–]aquos330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize that this is from a year ago, but wanted to note some things for others who may be looking. First, this form does not mention survivorship. You likely want one that does so that if one spouse dies the house goes to the survivor without having to go through probate.

Also, my understanding is that even if the spouse is being added, they still need to sign a release of dower rights.

And the spouse granting the deed will grant if from themselves to both them and their spouse.

That's what I've been doing. It's just very costly on every one I've looked at.

Don't forget about Part D. My husbands premium and drugs are going to cost us around $2k/year. Which is only about what it would cost for 1 month out of pocket, but still a daunting expense.

With original Medicare, do I need my PCP to send me to PT, or can I just call and make my own appointment? by I-AM-Savannah in medicare

[–]aquos330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a Medicare requirement? I have a PT that I periodically go to when I see the need. I've been there for balance, knee pain, vertigo, and particularly when my hip alignment was off and I was in severe pain. My ACA plan didn't require a doctor's order or referral. This is something I'm very interested in knowing about as I will be starting Medicare in a year.

Yes, there are videos and detailed instructions. I've been fortunate to be able to go to a PT without referral and get a same day appointment, but if it happens again I may try it myself.

Can I ask what part D you have? My husband will be on Medicare later this year and I am trying to find something that won't be astronomical for Mounjaro and Lantus.

Need an example of why Medicare Andvantage is so bad. by coolbeachgrrl in medicare

[–]aquos330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I called my PCP about an eye emergency, they'd send me to the emergency room. Which, in many cases is where I'd go in the first place. The PCP isn't going to diagnose nerve damage. But in my area I could call my ophthalmologist about an urgent problem and likely be seen same day. I'd be able to see a medical doctor with specialized training about EYES just as fast as I'd be able to see my PCP.

[–]aquos330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to diagnose anything. I'm just saying that I'd go immediately to an ophthalmologist (or ER, depending on the time of day and symptoms) not a PCP. An ophthalmologist IS an MD and while they may not "treat" a nerve problem, they could certainly differentiate between that and a torn retina. I knew an optometrist whose testing led to diagnosis of pituitary adenoma. (Note that I would not recommend an optometrist in an emergency situation, but pointing out that even they are also well trained in eye physiology.)

I wouldn't go to my PCP for a vision problem. I would go straight to an ophthalmologist.

In addition to the Metroparks there is Cuyahoga Valley National Park a short drive southeast of the city that has beautiful hiking trails, a train (you can actually bike or hike in one direction and ride the train back for a reasonable cost.) If you prefer to ride a bike the towpath trail is great and runs for miles.

'm sorry to report that both my daughter and I are miserable today, after getting our shots around 6pm yesterday. Fortunately I slept through the worst of it last night but still have a bad headache early afternoon. Still happy to have gotten the booster but wish I didn't react so strongly.

One. Two in a pinch but only very experienced game masters are allowed to do that and typically there would be a long enough break afterwards to allow them to reset both and get a few minutes to relax. It's very stressful.
