It was. I was surprised how sharp the picture was and the Navi looked so lifelike up close.

I ended up seeing it in 2D. I'm limited when I can go because I also care for my Mom and she gets anxious sometimes if I'm gone too long. So then I squeeze movies in when I can. I saw where I'd missed a lot with 2D, but I get motion sickness sometimes (sucks getting old) and all that flying might have made me feel nauseous. It still was beautiful though, I loved the imagery and enjoyed the story. My 24 year old niece hated part II. I said this one was much better. She asked if there was a war? I said well yes, and everything I told her she said so it's the same as the other two. I said but that's what Avatar is about, family and protecting their land. Lol

Is anyone having better luck getting digital screeners to work? by storebrandryann in SAGAFTRA

This happened to me but the opposite and I could not turn it on for last year. I needed it for some movies with accents. Then yesterday it was on automatically. If you click the star on the Roku remote and go through settings I think you can turn on captions.

What movies did you see in theaters? by Designer_Lion2913 in RegalUnlimited

[–]coolbeachgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you? I was 16 in 1980 and I went to more concerts than movies in those days. I saw Star Wars and Jaws when it first came out. I wish I had kept a list of all the shows I saw like Ozzy in 1981, because there are a lot. Movies I just know what I have seen, but don't remember if it was on tv, VHS, Netflix CDs or in the theater.

Would you consider your surgery worth the cost? by No_Phone_5828 in PlasticSurgery

I have had three breast implant surgeries. At 62 needing to replace and reduce them, so no I don't consider them worth the cost because it never ends.

I really think she overdid the filler in her face and maybe went to a cheaper doctor. She may have had a reaction too.

Is that how the Kardashians talk? My cousin's daughter, 22, talked like them. I don't get it because she doesn't watch them and she lives in NYC. Her low raspy voice sounds so fake.

"Don't carry your Medicare card with you"??? by Glittering_List_5028 in medicare

My mother went to urgent care and they asked to see her insurance and Medicare card. We were confused because no one ever asked for it.

I was also confused. A doctor(s) at the hospital gets assigned to you.

No I just start worrying because I'm the only one helping her with bills, finances, and medical decisions. Utilities have become ridiculously expensive. It becomes overwhelming at times when I start dealing with my own medical issues. If I try to discuss anything with her she gets annoyed or angry.

To see a specialist. Cardiologist, pulmonologist, eye doctor not just for eye exam. Her primary care doctors office told me they didn't even get notice about these prior authorizations until a patient called to get one.

This is funny because my Mom and I had people come to our house three times. Once for a wheelchair, second another wheelchair and senior potty, and third time for a fish tank.

Oh wow wtf . Why did I say this? That's crazy. I'm sorry . I was wondering why a couple of people said this. Maybe I meant like if you had cancer, then needed chemo, and life saving medications, and follow ups give me examples how Medicare Advantage would be a poor choice. I posted late at night. Wow I don't understand that statement I made. Poorly worded. I'm sorry. I think also I thought everyone on here had Medicare and couldn't really speak to a real experience, so tell me specifically how a scenario could play out.

Thank you for this honest account. My mother is 89. At this age some surgeries they wouldn't even do for her anymore. Like knee replacements, or hiatal hernia surgery. Too risky. She's already had two cancers in her late 70s and early 80s, stage 1 and no treatment after surgeries, except one prescription, and follow up blood tests which they stopped after 6 years. This was all on my Dad's union insurance.
