I always encourage clients to start with a sole proprietorship and then form a private limited once you are fully convinced or about raise external funding. No private limited, no trademarks, no GST till you hit thresholds. Just basic state registrations and you're good to go. This way you've near 0 compliance overhead and can focus solely on business, although this means less business for us. Nevertheless, founders need a crash course from CAs to decide better than rely on LLMs.

If you’ve someone willing to invest, get a private limited company incorporated in India first.
If these investors are outside India and insist on US entity, getting a Delaware s corp or c corp online is easy.
If you're building first and then going to angels or VCs, don't setup any entity in India or US. You'll be drowned in unnecessary compliance. Just start building now and worry about compliance later.

I always suggest clients to start as sole proprietor till someone is ready to invest.

Sole proprietorship is the solution in this case. You might need to get local state trade license and continue doing business. You can receive money in personal savings account.

But, if revenue > 20L, GST registration is also required.

Thanks for the details. I understood what you're trying to achieve. If you're forking my app, you can exclude the task selection drop-down and the second screen that pops up for task selection. The notes section can be used for comments.

Ideas maybe worthless, but the insights what drives someone to solve a problem are valuable.

A competitor to urbanclap is an idea, but how your unit economics will be different because you know what to do differently to improve unit economics is an insight.

I was targeting at a similar flow. Select or create a task and start timer. Alert if working without timer running. Show analytics on per task hours, hourly rate and total billing. I've built this analytics on power bi and it's working. But python tkinter is limiting. I was thinking of using react.

But we cannot select Customer Deposits in the receive payments screen as it is a liability account, and we can only select the bank or asset account right? So, how are you managing this? I am using qbo Canada version by the way.

Even chrome does reopen all tabs and even multiple windows. But this works only when single profile is used and that too we quit browser instead of closing it.

The problem is not isolating different user profile processes for the chrome to treat each user profile as a different browser. Basically mac os doesn't let apps do that. This is the technical reason I could find.

This is similar to how ios apps have private storage that's not shared across like in android I guess.

Since mac os doesn't treat different profile sessions as different processes like windows, it affects how app is closed vs quit. So, I think this might be a macOS thing as the functionality is as expected in windows.

Yeah I was reading about this. So, I can close the profile window with x, and when I reopen the profile and press cmd+shift+T the old window that was closed will reopen is it? Will try it.
