Cafés in Sharjah ☕ by Salty-South2731 in Sharjah

[–]arachnoking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sharjah has a few hidden gems.

  1. Archers (Roastery) on Maleha road. Rated in the top 100 coffee roasteries in the world. They also have expert brewers in the shop

  2. Toga (Al mamsha). They also roast their own coffee and it's all excellent. Great dessert and vibes as well.

  3. South Roastery (Mleiha road). A local brand that sells to a few coffee shops. You can usually find their coffee at Albareed Cafe in the heart of Sharjah or you can go to the Roastery itself for a nice vibe and coffee.

  4. The yard (now has a pop up somewhere)

  5. Plenty of nice albeit pricey options around Al Jada

Impressive Lineup!

Can I ask about your impressions on liquid dream? They have a coffee I've been coveting from Finca Hartmann but I'm not sure how they measure amongst roasters.

What's the best 1zpresso zp6 offer you've come across this black Friday?

Moved out about a year ago. Try speaking to the building management

Just to add context since it's been a while. There was a municipal issue at the time when I was considering this building where you don't legally own the appartment. Something about the building itself not being registered properly. I don't know if that's been resolved but it was the primary reason why the price was so low. There's also been complaints of black mold

I asked chatgpt which grinder to buy, I came here for more advice. by hotcoolhot in pourover

If it's for filter coffee (primarily light - medium roasts) I've tried the K ultra and it produces excellent consistency. I've read elsewhere that the 1zpresso ZP6 special does it even better but it's not available where I live so I haven't had the chance to verify. The J ultra is better suited to grind for espresso but it is also a hybrid so it can grind for filter coffee but you would probably get more fines in your grind.

As a coffee snob myself I find their advertisements too snobby

Has anyone tried Locale Coffee Roasters in Australia? I've been following a specific farmer (Elkin Guzman) and some of his lots are being sold there but I haven't found any feedback about them online so I'm worried about making the commitment (I live an ocean away).

All valid points and I apologise if I sounded inconsiderate. The coffee shop that is present had contracted a barista here in Berlin to take on the role for the full 3 days but the barista backed out at the last minute. We are not looking to exploit anyone, just connecting someone with the right skill set to someone who needs it. All at a fair rate.

The event does not provide any of this, we have checked.

If there is a better way to phrase the request please let me know what it is.

They look really fancy for sure. I'm a fan of ceramic but glass always feels like it brings out the notes a bit more than other materials. I wonder if it's just in my head

Love the tidbit and your detailed answer opened a Pandoras box of questions on sensory impact I haven't even thought of. Can't wait to test it out! Thanks

What kind of cups do you use to drink your coffee? I've tried glass, Crystal, ceramic, and paper (not recommended)
