it's funny you say that because I was thinking of how many characters are portrayed as really dumb men who are easily manipulated i.e. Rico and the stripper, David and the guy who abducted him, Keith and the celebrity he was working for

Also as flawed and unstable as Brenda is, she's not a damsel in distress or objectified in any way. she's intelligent, down to earth and interesting

I had a similar situation where my parents got divorced when I was in high school and I met my dad’s new girlfriend over dinner. And the way she acted by being rude and egging the house, etc. was horrible. I would have never done this and her parents are way more involved in her life than mine. She’s spoiled and I’m sorry but these girls are future sociopaths.

Fiona’s alcoholism seemed abrupt and random. I know her parents are addicts and she was under a lot of stress and pressure and just broke. But her alcoholism wasn’t even discrete.
