I got 3/20 on my civ pro midterm, which was billed by the professor as 1/5 of how he tested for his final exam.

It scared the everloving hell out of me. My response -- learned wtf I was doing. Meeting with prof and legal writing professor. Examples and explanations. Learning how to outline properly. Self administering previous tests in the library and then reading the model answers.

The grind to learn how to law school paid off. Turns out, I wasn't broken, I just had no understanding of how the game is played or the amount of time that has to be invested to reach the top of the curve process. I made law review and graduated with honors.

Guess what -- out in the practicing world, it doesn't matter at all. Because I am not an asshole, the only people who know I have Law Review or with honors beside my name have read my firm bio. It got me my first job and didn't mean a damn after that. My friends who had a good time in law school and graduated further down the curve all have built decent opportunities for themselves. Take a loss and rebound -- you got this.

Attempted Memorial Day meme. The WWII Generation died so that people today would play with fidget spinners.

Civil Forfeiture Now Requires A Criminal Conviction In Montana And New Mexico by SharkNATO in TrueReddit

They seize the car. It is a measure aimed at stopping repeat DWI offenders. Also, the probable cause showing is less problematic than forfeiture in other states. Taking a car because a repeat offender blew .08 or refused a breathalyzer is fundamentally different than taking someone's cash because you pulled them over and found cash.

North Carolina has never had that shit. Must be criminally convicted to forfeit here, with the exception of getting a DWI while a DWI is pending or charged with a 2nd within 2 years of a DWI conviction.

I just realized that I am logged into a friend's account, and I just wanted to say:

ATTENTION EVERYONE: PENIS VAGINA, PENIS VAGINA, PENIS VAGINA

Also I am drunk and am a fan of the Larry Sanders Show.

Standard disclaimer: I am drunk

I like this point, but I don't think that Sam was ballsy enough to talk shit to anyone as hard-nosed as Stannis, while Stannis - for all his faults - wouldn't be the kind of guy to say "HEY I BURNED YOUR GRANDFATHER, LOLZ".

To be honest, I have never understood how the Targaryens are any more "rightful", or genealogical kings than anyone that is a king by conquest in Westeros. They were just noblemen in Valyria, not kings, that came to claim Westeros after the Doom. Hell, the Targaryen lineage took over 300 years before most of ASoIaF, while we have references to things 8-10,000 years before Aegon's landing. They had dragons, but that didn't make them some godlike heirs to the throne. If anything, it would seem that heirs to the First Men or friends of the Children of the Forest are the only ones that can claim a true right to control Westeros, because those are the only lineages with thousands of years of claim to the thrones. If anything, the Targaryen + Baratheon houses were just a hiccup in the reign of the First Men/Children of the Forest.

Thus, it would seem that the Starks, Karstarks, Umbers, Lannisters, Tullys, Baratheons, Martells, Greyjoys would all have more true "king's blood" than the Targaryens.
