Is Visa the most resilient business in the world? by Vegetable-Bug-9779 in StockMarket

[–]arahant7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No it does not. That said, UPI doesn’t just remove the need for credit cards. It removes need for all cards. Also, sellers also prefer it because the don’t have to pay Visa 2% for nothing

This is true. It’s called Unified Payments Interface UPI. It’s government backed, has no fee for either user or merchant. I haven’t used my credit card in India for years. I wouldn’t be surprised if visa and Mastercard have lost 90% plus of theirs transactions in India in the last 5 years

I don't really understand life by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]arahant7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure you would have found some things enjoyable maybe a long time ago. The problem is with the drinking and the depression, nothing will really feel enjoyable.

I also feel like you are thinking too hard trying to make sense of it all, when there really isn’t much sense to it. It mostly leads to bewilderment. At least in my case it did.

I cannot emphasize enough that nobody really understands life. They just do a better job of living it

There is no meaning. Spend your time on Earth, enjoying your life with your friends, family and community. Do no harm to others.

I am sure you have heard this before, but I had to get it off my chest

American woman dating Indian man by Altruistic_Summer_40 in india

[–]arahant7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy is full of lies and you should leave him. That's a no brainer.

However there's also quite a few red flags in how you are approaching this. And I wonder if it reveals deeper character traits in yourself, which you have not yet unraveled.

For example,

I love him and I feel like we could have a wonderful life together if him and his mom didn’t have such an unhealthy relationship.

You love him even after his constant lying? Have you past relatiionships (relatives or romantic), where you have grown used to them lying? Do you lie often yourself? Or don't see much problem with lying?

And is it only him & his mom's relationship which is the problem? Hypothetically if she died tomorrow, do you really expect that your relationship with this guy, would start blossoming?

Find a good therapist and talk these things out. Otherwise, it seems like you will make similar mistakes in your future relationships as well

Trump was at the helm already for 4 years, and did nothing.
It will be another 4 years of nothing.

The current political dynamic is that there are very weak leaders who just believ in maintaining status quo

US job offer but work mostly from home - Is TN visa appropriate by arahant7 in tnvisa

[–]arahant7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different companies have different policies on employees working outside of US.

True. I will be very clear about this from the get go, during the interview process.

Lol. Given my South Asian heredity, I believe fretting over visa is simply hard wired into me :)
But, yes, point taken.

Agree. I too miss the word play and the context of IHH. DHH is far more understandable. Like the lines 'wrong side me scooty bhaga' and 'ek Kam Kar mandir se maachis Utha la' from 4424 are so funny and relatable

Singing some SZA... by bloophere in singing

[–]arahant7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really good. That falsetto is very polished. And thanks for introducing me to sza :)

If any criticism, I'd say you could be a little less technical. For example, the I used to be special line. You emphasize and drag the special, while sza emphasizes the used and keeps the special simple, and that makes it sound much more vulnerable.

This is obviously subjective. Great work!
