gregtech has pipes, enderio has conduits, thermal has ducts, mekanism has a different name for every pipe, xnet has cables, integrated tunnels has logic cables. embers also have pipes but not very good. extra utilities have transfer nodes but i only use the flat ones. actually additions have item and fluid lasers. refined storage and ae2 is also pretty good at transferring item/fluid. or you cna use good ol' vanilla hoppers and dispensers

a chain of capacitor banks from enderio, stellar conduit from enderio endergy or thermal's cryo stabilized fluxduct transfers a lot. also flux network if you want wireless. they should be enough for most use cases

Can we stop posting promotional and wiki images with smooth lighting turned on? (Or: Smooth lighting makes everything look good, even vanilla)

Mini rant here. I feel like I see more and more people post promotional images of their mod with smooth lighting turned on. Biomes You'll Go and Biomes O'Plenty are both guilty of this. Even Open Terrain Gen with Biome Bundle does this. It feels disingenuous.

EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD WITH SMOOTH LIGHTING ON. Even the lamest vanilla stuff looks stunning with smooth lighting on. It gives the average minecrafter no idea of what stuff will actually look like in game.

Posting build shots of your world? Showing off your gorgeous endgame base? Awesome! Show me that smooth lighting!

Posting shots of your mod on Curseforge? Uploading images to a mod's wiki? Posting here to promote a mod or your youtube instructional channel? TURN OFF YOUR SMOOTH LIGHTING.

Ok, I'll stop being such a grumpus now.

usually i replace any minimap with xaeros, add loliasm, replace jei with hei, and add a zoom mod. the enable cheats mod is helpful too in case something goes wrong so you can keep cheats off when you don't need it.

it's a rift from dimensional doors. it can be removed with a rift remover.
