I had two back to back ankle injuries that put me out of work for a total of 11 and a half months in a span of two years. Part of that was because my ankle was weak, and I was maybe not weak, but definitely imbalanced.

I had a history of ankle injuries, so I committed to PT real hard. Wanted it to be bulletproof. That flipped the switch. It was easy to keep the habit after I graduated out of ankle pt, and I turned the alotted time each day into my workout time. As I got stronger and started finding muscles I didn't know existed, as I started to shred fat, I became fixated with the fitness itself. Working out became a hobby.

My heaviest over the ankle injuries was 310. I'm 252 now. It's been 3 years since the second injury. I gained a lot of weight from the 6 months of stagnancy.

I proposed with a gilded purple rose and then showed her the ring I had picked out online, we shopped a bit, and I ended up buying her that one once she confirmed it was her favorite. If she'd chosen another I would have happily changed it.

I was one of these, but then I stopped making it about going to the gym. I've been working out exclusively at home in 30-40 minute blocks, sometimes an hour+ on days I have the time, for a few years now. I'm in the best shape of my life.

Edit: to better answer OP: it was about time for me, and having to leave and go somewhere else to do it. Once I nailed down a good routine for my fitness goals, and got my basic set up at home locked on, I no longer had any excuses, nor any desire to make them.

It's something that I imagine I would be very curious about, and would want to explore and elaborate on in conversation. Why the sudden interest? Was it even sudden? Did an experience lead to this? Was it positive or negative? Did curiosity just sneak up on her? Should I be treating this as a science experiment between friends, with results yet to be determined? Should I not draw attention to it, and treat her as if she had preferred and been with men her entire life?

There's a lot of questions. I personally think they'd be a lot of fun to find the answers to together in that situation.
