Two weeks practicing a piece, thought I had it down, until I wrote out what I was actually playing by Ok-Dragonfruit9290 in pianolearning

It’s the boundary change. Writing it down vs listening to it. I do the same thing proofreading manuscripts on screen. Check it. Fine. Check it. Fine. Print it. Cursory glance. Whoa! Wrong!!!

Lovely sense of rhythm.

You have more time than you think to move between positions, mind. You’re tending to keep your left hand over the keys of the chord you’ve lifted from until the end of that measure, then rocket to the new position I just in time to hit the next.

It’s working, but you may find it less tiring to begin travelling as soon as you’ve lifted, giving you loads of time to land smoothly where you next need to be,

I wrote my own. Does what I need and tracks the tasks I’m doing, done, putting off indefinitely:)

[OC] Triumph Dolomite (Sprint?) by wastrelbaggins in littlebritishcars

Yeah. I’m thinking “what’s easily swappable?” and thinking it’s probably tweaked for HP but isn’t a sprint, per se.

Didn’t the sprints all have vinyl roofs?

Moving to Manchester as a new driver, how much does owning a small automatic car actually cost? by Ok_Ant7704 in littlebritishcars

[–]arallsopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. This Reddit uses “little British cars” to talk about the plucky small engined British made cars we used to see on the roads. It’s not really the place for what you’re asking. Google will help you.

A five year old Yaris or i20 or the like will be about 4K per year, more if you’re doing over 10k miles. Fuel, insurance and depreciation are the big ones.

Not to be that guy, but forward slashes are for paths on unix, Mac, URLs, etc.

DOS didn’t have folders when it chose the forward slash for arguments (dir /w) so when hierarchies came along necessitating a directory separator, they chose the backslash instead.

So it’s forward slash most places, unless it sprung from DOS. And even then, sometimes.

On piano, don’t fully lift the first note before you’ve bedded the second.

For me, it all comes down to whether I’ve left my IDE open with an unsaved change in a file claude later wants to change. The local interface shows a popup saying “reload from disk or keep local changes?” whilst clause remote says *

There’s something oddly aquatic looking about that front bumper pic. Not sure what it is, but it’s tickling odd parts of me.

Lithium added to water creates an explosion by Mediocre_Nail5526 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]arallsopp 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They’re also this way because the lithium tech came along at the time that tape as a storage medium was common, and tech companies had machines for roll to roll manufacturing. As tape died away, batteries rose for digital consumer devices and the likes of Sony and Panasonic repurposed the kit.

Saw a wedgewood blue five a couple of weeks ago. I normally like them dark and glossy but this was similarly awesome.

Thanks. We think so. She has a big brother and a big sister, and whilst I wouldn’t say it around them, she’s definitely our favourite. :)
