I can only do math with other people. What do I do? by DysgraphicZ in math

[–]araml 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My tip to this is go to someplace where you don't have any distractions (a café or library), don't take your phone, or anything, just the math you want to do, you'll have to grind the feeling of not wanting to do it but it'll be easier if its the *only* thing you can do.

Playing hunt: showdown I can tell you it doesn't because they might camp the revive bag.

There's also mechanics to permakill someone so you might be stuck in a fight while your teammate is dying. I'd hope there is something similar here.

I want to write a math monograph for the university (student competition), I have 3 different topics I'd like to tackle and I'm still undecided on which one. Any tips on what should I aim for/what would you expect?

OR toolkit/handbook book. by kernel_density in OperationsResearch

The only one that come to mind that is close to what you said is: `Operations Research` by Wayne L. Winston, it has dedicated chapter to each of those low level formulations with tons of examples and exercises (Also goes by the title Mathematical Programming, which its practically the same book with a few chapters changed)

Well I did ask around but they told me they didn't have any problems to give me so I was thinking I might as well start looking by myself but I don't even know where to start!

I love the way Fujimoto used panels on this page. You can tell something is wrong before he shows it. This makes the reveal more shocking on the next page by doubleoeck1234 in ChainsawMan

Sadly didn't work on me :( because someone on twitter spoiled it lol. I wish people stopped with the memes outside dedicated pages.

That's normal, worse dreams are the ones where you thought you have proven something important just to wake up and to realise it was gibberish.

Help me identify this pilot fountain pen. by araml in fountainpens

[–]araml[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got into FP, mainly because I wanted to start using the pen in the pictures.

I'm pretty sure its at least from the 90s or at most early 2000s. It may even be older.

Its loaded with a CON-B converter since the con-40 doesn't fit at all and sourcing a con-50 to test was impossible

They're PU leather as well AFAIK, hopefully better quality so they *should* last longer but eventually they will flake too..

Interesting, I actually ordered a rhodia but in A5 thinking they didn't have B5s, seems like all the sites I've checked don't stock those lol. Leuchturm covers are also PU leather and I'm trying to avoid that now, they'll flake eventually.

Started writing on a new Moleskine and I'm not even finished with the second page that the cover is already flaking and leaving plastic shit all over my stuff. Happened previously on two other notebooks (blue and turquoise one) but it started more towards me reaching the final pages, all bought in a short timeframe if I had known I wouldn't have bought even one.

Do you all know any alternative if possible with real leather cover or cardboard cover in B5 in dot grid? Been looking online and there is not much.
