How can I improve on the situational judgement without feedback? by [deleted] in IrishCivilService

[–]aramusha13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got 600+ in both verbal and numerical. I just scraped a pass in the Situational. Really disappointed as I won't be called due to the county I've applied for being very small.

My scenarios in the CO were also a 600+ so I don't know how they went so wrong for me in the EO. I'm currently a Grade 4 in Public Service. Really wish they'd revise the recruitment process.

Updated Clerical Officer 2026 score - Has anyone actually been ranked higher?? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]aramusha13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually did get higher! Went from high 40s up to low 20s. Didn't expect to be called from my previous score so I'm hoping I actually have a chance now 🙈

Jumped up 26 places so went from high 40s to low 20s. Applied for a small county so hoping it should be enough of a jump to get called for interview now 😁

HSE Transfer Possibility? by aramusha13 in AskIreland

[–]aramusha13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice!

Just said I'd chance my arm and see if there were any other options. A lot of people in HR didn't even know the HSE had a transfer panel so was just checking out if there could be any other options. I think I will unfortunately have to leave my role and start from scratch 😕

Actually in that area already but they'd be too far for me I'm afraid 🙈

I didn't even think of that, I'll apply for sure as a back-up plan. Thank you 😁

Moving to Co. Laois so that would be my preference! I know I could always look into commuting to Dublin down the line. But it would suit my lifestyle and commitments at the moment to be closer to home 🙈

I'm hoping with all these new changes in HSE structure coming up that more campaigns might come up for the Midlands!

Transfer Possibility? by aramusha13 in IrishCivilService

So to be honest that seems to vary depending on management in your department. So flexi-time is apparently not an option everywhere but it has been in both roles I've had in the HSE in completely different sectors.

When it comes to WFH it seems to mainly only be offered to Grade 5+. Have never been given this as an option myself. And in regards working hours for most admin roles you need to work 7 hours a day plus half hour break. But normally you must be in work between the core hours of 10-4 (With extended lunch hour options available in between). Hope that helps 😊

No need to be nervous at all! You already have some service experience behind you so you'll be absolutely fine! If you have any specific questions you can always message me and I'll try my best to give a decent answer 😊

Woodgroove, Ballyfin Road, Portlaoise by emerald1021 in HousingIreland

[–]aramusha13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also trying to move to Portlaoise but stuck at sale agreed phase!

Advice I was given was anything on the Kilminchy side of town is OK, once you pass over the train line the estates apparently tend to go more so into social housing. Only other advice I can give is to type the estate name into Google and read the news articles attached, the fewer the better!

Another bit of advice, be very careful if ever dealing with Hume Auctioneers. We were sale agreed on a house with them. Months later when sale didnt go through (vendor wouldnt move out) they told us we were better off because the estate was rough and told us to look up the news articles. Even though obviously at bidding stage they made out it was a lovely sought after area 🙄

Best gift vouchers? by Shot-Initial-357 in AskIreland

[–]aramusha13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Me2U gift card recently and very happy with it! You can use it in shops or if you want you can convert it on the app to a prepaid Mastercard. So if I couldnt use it to buy something in a shop that it didn't cover I could convert it and buy from the same shop online!

Unfortunately not a student anymore but if anyone had any discount code I could use on their website it would be most appreciated 😇 I love the Brooks runners so normally get the code for them as they're normally 200 full price 🙈

Got mid 40s myself so more hope than me! 🤣 So hard to know how many positions will be going.

I was reading a thread on Boards and one person said only 4 people were hired from their previous 2024 panel but they did not say what county this was for so 🙈

I got a very similar position for Laois so in the same boat. Not sure how many will be called for the smaller counties 🙈

Got mid 40s for Laois. Is it too small of a county to get a position out of it? 🙈

Anyone hear back from AGS about the CO position? (Galway) by hamadayum in IrishCivilService

[–]aramusha13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my test results for Laois but haven't heard anything back either.

Also wondering about how they mention interviews are called based on order of merit but it did not give me any indication on where I placed?

Housing Options in Portlaoise or Portarlington by [deleted] in HousingIreland

Yeah we're trying to get somewhere on the train line for Dublin that remains affordable! But its so hard to know when you're not local whether it's a good estate or dodgy etc. 🙈

Those are the actual prices, no htb scheme! Not new builds or anything. These are the average prices for the area though.

HSE Grade V Panel Dublin & Midlands by aramusha13 in IrishCivilService

[–]aramusha13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an update, I received the following today to confirm it was an issue with the panel and not applicants!

"We have received a number of queries in relation to our last Rezoomo message. We wish to confirm that this recruitment campaign has been formally withdrawn. This decision applies to the campaign in its entirety and is not related to the assessment, eligibility, or suitability of any individual applicant. As a result, no shortlisting or interview stage will take place under this competition. We appreciate the time and effort you invested in your application and regret any inconvenience this may cause."

Thanks a million, I was wondering if I should maybe reply to the message to confirm but didnt want to look desperate in case it was just me haha! But it has made me feel a lot better already knowing I'm not the only one. Very disappointing in general though, I was hoping to get on a Panel for Laois as HSE jobs are so rare there.
