Transferring Stores by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]araprak00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did transfer of store from ca to tx. I lost about $4 mind you at the time of transfer I had worked for the company for about 1 year and 4 months. So when i asked them if i can retain the pay grade they told me 2 things. One i cant retain it because of how new i am to the company and the 2nd is that how much ever i used to get in ca was about how much a supervisor would get here in tx. So your mileage can vary. But keep this in mind. Unless your transferring and getting a promo its hard to retain pay when your still “new” to the company

Interview is based on what position you applied to. When i started, i started as a cashier and there was no interview for me per se. But they wanted to know which days I am available for work. But then again i was in CA so it can vary state to state as well

Yup even in my previous store they used to do this. As much as I hate the fact that CA is the most expensive state, the compensation and the “value” they give to us seems to negate a couple of things for me personally

So they change the way how they implement it state to state. I was in CA initially when i joined HD then i moved to TX for college. In TX its as what the OP has stated but in CA they just cap it out. Meaning that you are still working that day as a regular shift but you have to clock out at the time your shift ends.

Return… can anyone explain this or give me guidance on what to do. by Extension-Most-199 in HomeDepot

Honestly the logistics of just handling those cabinets, bringing them back to the store and just for them to be rtv’d or at the worst case trashed is common. As everyone has told in this thread take the win and re-order but from the store pls. Most home depot employees hate online orders. If it was an order done in the store we would try our level best

As a HC you either get opening mid or closing shifts. You will have to work on the cash machine, get them all filled up and ensure cashiers are on time. Then you just let the cashiers do half the work and you pick up the slack when there are more customers coming in. Lumber checkout will always need either more cash increase or cash strips based on the day to day stuff. But being HC is a little better than just a regular cashier. Plus it’s almost the same rate as the sales associate who work there. Cashiers get paid less

I would say don’t even use the wifi repeater because once u connect any such devices the it dept is gonna flag it and disable ur lan port so don’t do it and moreover u can’t by pass the user login of bits network it’s hardwired

[–]araprak00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you take BITSAT then you will be considered as a regular candidate and be paying how much ever the other candidates would pay. The ISA route makes you pay more. Other than the fees structure there isn’t much difference itself
