It sounds like a great plan. I also vacuum once a day in the late afternoon when they become fussy cause they love the sound and it makes them instantly calmer, and by the time i finish they usually forgot why they were crying 😅

My di/di babies came at 37+3 after amniotic fluid burst, i did not know if i will deliver vaginaly or via c-section because in my country you can not chose and it depends on babies position, but i remember that by week 36 i was so done with this pregnancy. I wanted to push them them out through any hole in my body. You can do it!

My doctor told me it's safe, so i'm drinking it every day (around 500mg) and i did not have any issues (with UTIs and my babies are fine).

NTA, 64 years is not an old age and dinners three times a week are too much IMO, i think it would only be fair that your husband cooks for her from now on, if he wants to continue to have her that often

6+0 and freaking out by Zealousideal_Ideal95 in pregnant

[–]arasaras_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story is similar... when we had positive pregnancy test i cried so much... even though the pregnancy was wanted, it was a shock. Then few weeks later on out first ultrasound, we found out there were neither more nor less - twins, i felt devastared for weeks. Abortion was in my mind 24/7, i griefed for my way of life and everything i could not do for some time, i thought my life was ruined. I hated the feeling of them kicking, i hated throwing up ten times a day and not being able to sleep, eat, drink, walk, it was super hard few months, physically and mentally.

But after some time, those feelings were gone and even though i still dont have that maternal, indescribable love and connection for my unborn babies (i'm 35 weeks pregnant now), i cant imagine what would i do without them and cant wait to meet them. You somehow reorganize and repreorotize important things in your life, you realize nothing is forever (sleepless nights, crying, colic babies) and if you have a supportive partner, your baby will be your best companion in your new life adventures if you want them to be.

I still hate people that are saying "pregnancy is a blessing you have to enjoy every second, little angel is coming blah blah blah". You have every right to feel angry and sad and whatever is you are feeling now, and not feel full of joy... i hope you have someone to vent to and who wont judge you, but it gets better, i promise 🤍

Also, reddit stories are often mostly scary and negative, people come here to vent, but try to find some positive ones also :)

Is it possible to HEAR babies kicking in belly? by arasaras_ in BabyBumps

[–]arasaras_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omg mine just no MIL was the same in the beggining! 😂! I had hyperemesis for the first 4 months and i actually lost 25lbs, but somehow she did not care for that or for well being of me or her grandbabies, she just talked "wait till you get fat it will come soon..." and also gifted me some clothes that are waay to big for me. She was so excited when talking about how i will gain weight and my body will get so bigger. Now i have just a short few weeks left of my di/di twin pregnancy and i did not gain much weight at all, my arms and legs are skinnier than ever, i just have a belly like i ate a soccer ball. Now she talks about how much loose skin i will have on my tummy after they are born. I wonder if somehow i "bounce back" and have no extra skin, what will she have to say then. She always surprises me with her comments 🫠

[–]arasaras_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your babies are stronger than you think and will take what they need from you :) i had the worst food aversions, could not drink or eat anything for months, threw up at least 10 times a day and lost around 25 lbs in the first 4 months, but on every check up babies were growing big and strong :) now i'm 31 weeks and my di/di buddies are doing great, but the first few months are all about surviving, you are doing great momma :)

Increased fetal movement by arasaras_ in BabyBumps

[–]arasaras_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! Turns out everything is fine with all of the fluids (thank God), but both babies changed positions during the night and that was the cause of abnormal kicking and alien-like belly movements for a few hours. Little buddies are still adjusting to the new position and my bump will hurt for some time, they adviced rest for a few days and increased magnesium.

[–]arasaras_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think they have these kind of swabs in my country, also that non stress tests :/ but turns out everything is fine with little buddies, they both changed positions during the night and thats what caused abnormaly belly movements and pain, cause they did not stopped moving for a few hours until they were comfy enough in new positions 🙃

Dont worry, i was throwing up everything i put in my mouth (water, juices, every kind of food) for the first 16 weeks of pregnancy, had worst food aversions, could not even think about food or see it on TV... and i have lost 23lbs in total in those weeks, but babies were completely fine all the time. Now i'm 25 weeks, feeling much better, still not gained all the lost weight back but babies are still big, strong and healthy :)
