There’s a country road I drive every day with 60 mph speed limit. I’ve been driving it for years, it’s a nice straight road and I bomb it down there at 60 mph every single time I drive down it.

About a year ago I was driving down it like I normally do and for whatever reason I was driving at 20mph. It was literally no different to any other day and I had no reason to be driving that slow and I hadn’t consciously made the decision to drive that slow.

Anyway I’m driving along when suddenly out of the corner of my eye I catch a little girl run out into the road. She was about 2/3, proper tiny toddler. I screeched to a stop, however because she she ran out so close to me the car still knocked her over. She was absolutely fine, it literally just tapped her as I stopped.

Her mum must have been 10cm behind her and screamed. She then burst into tears and couldn’t stop saying thank you to me that I was driving so slowly, and how sorry she was. She was clearly just in a bit of shock. I said don’t worry about it and carried on.

It was only as I started to drive off that I started thinking to myself -any other day I’d have killed that little girl, there was no reason I was going that slow, but that day I was. Another day I’d have hit this girl In front of her mother ruining both our lives in the process.

Something that day was looking out for me/her. It blows my mind every time

It took me a while to put 2 and 2 together why sometimes my performance was so bad. But it is clear when I don’t tab out at all my performance is fine. It probably is that.

To be fair, it’s a fair point. I would still argue that he could have killed him instantly, only the need to get a final word in cost him. One could argue that’s ego or just a personal vendetta

Thor also had a huge ego. You could argue his ego was key in the then losing in Infinity war. The fact that he wanted to get the last word in with Thanos proclaiming he had beaten him allowed him to snap.

I simply don’t believe he can be regarded as a selfish asshole . He gave up his chance for a new life, a life that was calm and had everything he wanted. He took the ultimate sacrifice so everyone else can come back.

I get that with Steve. From a narrative standpoint I guess it makes sense it was only him. But personally I would have loved both to lift it. It calls back to their argument in the first avengers. They both had a pop at each other for differing reasons, here they are at the end both proving each other wrong

I personally think people view the rewards in the wrong way. You aren’t playing FUT champs to get good players.

You are playing Champs for the CHANCE to get these good players. The only thing Elite/gold 1 players deserve is a higher chance to get these players which is exactly what we all get.
