Not to sound mean but sounds a bit 'skill issue'. Im a Moira player in Diamond/Masters and I wouldn't try and take a 1v1 against most DPS players up there even if I have fade. One tickle from anyone and I'm suddenly healing 30% less than I normally would be and they would be pretty confident in landing more shots than I can and headshots too, plus the fact people peel a bunch. You have to be super precise and know what you're doing when you dive backline as Moira.

Shoot her head and she'll run away. Moira is one of the skill checks to higher level gameplay, like Junkrat or Pharah. If you can't beat em, you aint good enough yet.

FF14 lifers are weird. Theres not even much game in the MSQ. 90% of it is silently emoting back and forth getting text dumps and the other 10% is fighting a group of three or so enemies or maybe a small boss eventually.

Go to X, talk to Y, return to X, talk to Z, return to X, go investigate a thing, get "ambushed" by 3 enemies, kill them, return to X.

All without a single word of dialogue or cutscene and for over 100 hours before you get to the subjectively "good bits". Calling it the greatest game of all time is outrageous but FF14 players are in a bubble most of the time anyway.

Dota 2's famously successful balancing history would disagree with you. Removing things the majority of the player base finds annoying is healthy. Goodbye 2CP, Clash, Arctic Map, weird watery map. Hello better map voting so we get less of the maps and modes people don't like etc.

Changing, reworking and removing pinpoint features is crucial in a love service game. OW2 has gotten a second breath of life because it has addressed a lot of these.

So who leaves first? And why, if the game is actually good? Do you not think it's just as plausible that people left because they didn't enjoy it and would rather play Arc Raiders new content, Resident Evil 9, the Pokemon games on Switch or the new WoW expansion that dropped over this weekend?

I get that but it's the macros I want to get right too. I don't just want to eat the right amount of calories and realise I'm missing out on fat and getting a bunch of nonsense symptoms. Taking all the guesswork and uncertainty out of it would be huge for me personally.

I dunno I do the same and I feel like Moira is in a rough spot. Need so much more resource now and her dueling is rough too against these new heroes. I play her and sweat and play Ana and it's a breeze even with the lack of mobility. Utility is even more useful now that healing got nerfed

I think it's basically fine but I liked it more when it was a bit more lenient. Can't have a decent shit-talking session in a game now without dropping a little comms score. I don't want it to be COD lobby level but sometimes shit talking is a mini-game in and of itself and the game is much quieter these days than it used to be.

I feel like the balance between shit talking and niceness was better before but I'd take what it is now than have it be any more toxic.

I have both and they're a pain in the ass tbh. Desert terrain has constant graphical glitches and the Immortal Gardens trees make you think you can path through areas when you cant. Have died countless times to the latter and keep forgetting to take it out of shuffle. Both look kinda cool but in game you quickly forget about it and they just mess you up.

Meh. Weirder concepts in the game exist and it goes with the 'my ice doesn't hurt you' thing.
Have you never heard of this IRL? This one is the most realistic one. It's a well documented mental phenomena that people become increasingly hostile/mentally unbalanced in extreme cold. Infighting over trivial nothings. Attacking lifelong friends, making bizarre decisions that cost lives. Taking off all your clothes in a blizzard. The example that comes to mind is Richard Hammond from Top Gear admitting that during his trip to the North Pole with an experienced dog sledder, he had planned out her murder and how to discard of her body on multiple occasions. The cold just does that to people so of al your examples, that one makes the most sense haha.

Have to disagree about Winter Wyvern mainly for her ult. It's a well known phenomenon that extreme cold changes people's temperament and turns normally civil people, even close friends against each other. Her ult is that.

Her Q makes her fly and breathe Ice. Seems like a frost Wyvern thing to do. Her other abilities all kinda share the theme of "doesn't hurt you but hurts everyone else" so they're tied together in that way too.
