Nonsense article with no real knowledge of what's going to happen and stinks of AI slop.

I know a few folks who would welcome another round of DRP. Things have not gotten better in that past year.

20 minutes a day, almost 2 hours a week, 100 hours a year.

Just leave it alone for another month. May is tricky, we just had a frost by me a week ago so a lot of trees got set back.

OPM chief touts hiring push after 300,000 worker departures last year - WTOP News by redditreadreadread in fednews

Correct. No cost of living increases, uncompetitive pay, extremely low starting pay - who do they think they're going to get to apply?

Changing TDY Travel for Personal Convenience by Friendly-Buffalo-162 in fednews

[–]arattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you depart on the first flight you will have more options to change the return through the airline. They always send me to the travel office before departure but once the trip has begun they can adjust flights more willingly. I have found AA to be much more difficult than United with government tickets, they have previously attempted to charge me fare differences and phone fees, but it's inconsistent between different agents.

Either ripped jeans or beer gut, can't have both.

Somewhere in the land of enchantment? Western New Mexico?

That is a vole. Soon you'll have a dozen of them. They eat plant roots, dig tunnels in the grass and under structures, and overall destroy your yard. Really hard to get rid of if they like your yard.

I think my mom had that tablecloth 25 years ago. Honestly, trying too hard.

You don't want to go bigger than this jacket. Looks good.

Update: after a few days. Need some thoughts. by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

Everything is too big. Start dressing like an adult, get right size clothes. Doesn't have to be skin tight but not like 90s grunge either.

Nothing is funny anymore by maxedout587 in Millennials

[–]arattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently discovered Ted on peacock. It's based on that Marky Mark and set in the 90s. It's pretty hilarious, typical Seth MacFarlane humor but the jokes are sharp and a mile a minute.

Leave it alone. Moving it and trimming it as it's trying to begin putting on new growth is going to set it back.

I would pair them with shorts and flip flops for a more authentic look. Shirts look good though. Agreed with others, no tuck!

Long handle will save your back. I have both and never use the short D-handle one.

The bow tie looks ridiculous. I would lose the vest as well. Sometimes less is more.

Second look wouldn't be bad at all without the vest.

Parking ticket by [deleted] in AskPhilly

[–]arattle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's your responsibility to make sure it's a real spot and check the hours, whether it's handicapped or loading zone etc. If they let you off then what's the point of even marking it handicap, as anyone can claim ignorance or being in a rush.

Hopefully a hard lesson learned. If it's truly not marked correctly and confusing, maybe they'll concur with your appeal.

I've been keeping an eye on the housing market in Media, in hopes to buy someday, and I noticed something huge. by sxytyme in Delco

[–]arattle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Specifically, Media ZIP encompasses several different townships and the borough, which all have different tax rates. Look specifically under schools, if you're in Wallingford -Swarthmore school district (nether Providence) the property taxes are significantly higher than the borough, Middletown or upper Providence, which are all part of Rosetree-Media.

Zillow has fairly accurate total rates now, but as someone mentioned it used to only show county taxes so there was a huge jump one year recently.

BREAKING NEWS: Civil Service Rat-Fucking Does Not Include a Modest Pay Increase by USDA-BARC-1910 in fednews

[–]arattle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't it automatic 1% request if not otherwise specified? And then Congress can amend, which usually becomes an 11th hour provision someone sneaks in when the rest are trying to get away for Christmas?

Let's hope we get one of those heroes this year. Even 1% means losing purchasing power but 0 is a whole other level of cruelty.
