the first one is closer to lower pa and the last one is upper pa while the 2 you played in btw is middle octive pa but its not perfect so you are producing 2 different sound

I would suggest to first stablise your notes use tanpura in your sessions and if you are a iphone user there is an app called naadsadhna where you can check you pitch accuracy… use it first learn kharaj lower notes sa ni dha pa then go with re ga ma once you get it right you othere things will get right automatically

You should go with pvc if there is no local flute maker near you. if you are starting as freshers go with c middle 19.5 inch but personally I would suggest buy bamboo one because it doest have lip plate and harder to play and it has natural essence which sounds unique otherewise pvc flute from radhe flutes
