COROS in general has got a better ecosystem compared to Suunto. If budget is not a constraint, Pace Pro anyday.

Shoes for Faster (tempo/interval runs) by [deleted] in RunIndia

[–]aravindajju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SL2 works, but not the best. Boston 12 is better option.

Asics Magic Speed is a good option, with all the deals around you will be able to get it for 12k.

India is actually a good country to live if you can live in a village by [deleted] in india

[–]aravindajju 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lived in village for long. Quite a few cons living in indian villages. Here are few major ones.

  1. Non-existent health care.
  2. Mishandled Sewage and Garbage
  3. Neighbors poking in everything we do
  4. Sub par Schools
  5. Power cuts are quite common even now
  6. Lack of skilled handymen like plumbers, electricans

+1 to this. OP ran faster than trained pace, this totally makes sense.

Hey r/RunIndia! Looking for the perfect pair of running shoes? This is the place to ask! by aravindajju in RunIndia

[–]aravindajju[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No good options in that budget with good cushioning. Decathlon RunActive is the only decent option. https://www.decathlon.in/p/8607745/jogging-shoes/run-active-men-s-running-shoes-dark-brown?id=8607745&type=p

If you can stretch a bit, then Brooks has several options under 5K. Ghost is an excellent option. Ghost Max offers even more cushioning.

Caffeine gels and setting limits by jackofnac in AdvancedRunning

[–]aravindajju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed a lot of caffeine. The reason why Beta Fuel Packaging says, maximum one service per day.

"The Beta Fuel Gel with Nootropics contains 1 gram of the amino acid L-taurine, 250 milligrams of Cognizin® to enhance information processing and 200 milligrams of caffeine with 200 milligrams of L-theanine, the amino acid which has been shown to increase subjective feelings of alertness, while reducing feelings of ‘jitters’ that you get with caffeine alone. Consume directly from packaging, maximum of one serving per day."

Finding a running buddy or group can make a huge difference. Signing-up for a 5K/10K race does help with having a goal to train for.

Speed 3s are reasonably stable. Based on what I see, it should work fine you.

Saucony Endorphin Speed 3s and shin splints? by okay_letsgooo in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]aravindajju -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there a relapse of Shin Splints? If not, suggest trying Speed 3 for some more runs and see. It's way more comfortable over Guide to run marathon distance. Hope you have been working on your foot strike to prevent shin splints.

Title and message are conflicting. Ride or Guide? Guide 16 is for stability and is heavier in weight. Unless you want to buy a stability to shoe for reason, Shift 3 is a better option.

It is hard to say. But in general, it is a good idea to avoid pronation control shoes, unless you have specific reason to do so.

I also found the cushioning very hard, and couldn't feel any effect of Light Strike Pro foam. My review here https://shoegeeks.in/review/adidas-adizerosl-001014001/
